Max yield from a 600w hps

also he’s in Australia which means 100% most of his nutrients he’s using have synthetic PGR’s in them.
Umm ??? Not 100% true. At least 90% bullshit unless its a 1%'r or Vietnamese grow than its 90% probably true at least 50% of the time.

10x5ft, 2 600w HPS.
I am sorry but I don't believe a 600w HPS could cover a 5ft x 5ft canopy, looks like your running 2 x 1kw HPS.
cool tubes are designed for small grow spaces, they keep the temps under control.
They are not very effective at covering a large canopy.

Cool tubes are filling up most of the room(length) what are they, 3ft long?
They look massive.

Want me to keep going?

These are all from the first search page about PGR weed in Australia.

Dude I quoted is not a personal grower.

he’s in it for the money.

Same guy who claimed big numbers was then found using PACLO.

PGR's are world wide my friend. I'm sure we can all search country and PGR and come up with hits. Stating that 100% of aussie buds are PGR is just a silly uneducated statement.

Example:
"At present, PGR’s seem to be far more ubiquitous in the states than the UK. However, they’re slowly making their way over into the UK market as “Cali” strains and other imports become more popular. "

Heh I started with 2 400w HPS in my 10x5 tent, and rolled that way for 7 years before upgrading to 600w.

Duel 400w grow.

Look at the light lines on my walls, that's a 180d light spread. Which allows me to run my lights very low to my canopy.

So your flowering your plants off with 24w per ft2 (10ft x 5ft =50ft2, 1200w / 50ft2 = 24w per ft2), with two single-ended HPS, that's very impressive, more effective than most LEDs on the market today.

To get my lux between 40-60k(even light spread), my 600w SE HPs covers a canopy area of 1.1m x 0.9m, that's 3.6ft x 3ft = 10.8 ft2
That's 55w ft2, might be able to get it down to 40w ft2 on a light mover.

I am using adjust a wing, cool the room, not the bulb.
Cooling the bulb with strong airflow makes the HPS less effective.
The glass absorbs some of the light making them less effective.

Hey all, new member. Just thought I'd chip in for anyone who says a pound isn't possible for a 600w hps.

If you can't do that, look at what you're feeding, growing medium etc.

1st harvest was 13.9 oz, 1st ever grow, 600w hps, got a hermie and ruined it.

2nd grow was 20.9 ounces, 5x5, one 600w hps, 4 plants, green planet nutrients, coco coir run to waste, 15l pots, clones at that, and a 4 week veg time.

This grow is 2 tents, same dimensions, 1 plant in 1 as an experiment, 2 in the other, scrog net and at week 4 of flower I'm seeing buds bigger than my last yield.

Patience, learning, and a good environment go a long way.

Anyone who says it isn't possible just hasn't done it. I've gotten just shy of 1g/watt. As a new grower.

Definitely possible. I've gotten 4lbs from 2 x 600hps with a certain strain in the past easily in a 8 x 4 tent.
Last run pulled 2.5 from a run of seeds.
Current one, dosidos 33 clones scrogged. Aiming for 3 :)
Will update on harvest pics!IMG_0390.jpeg

Hello, I know this is an old thread…

600 watts in a 4x4 tent with 4 plants and 1.5 pounds is possible. Space Queen was the strain (from TGA Genetics). If you folks have questions, feel free to reach out.

Good luck

SCOG strategy… Nice… What bulbs do you prefer? Have you tried other brands?
Hey mate, not any in particular actually, but have used Philips Son t Agro and Lucasgrow.
Btw that harvest with the Dosidos only yielded 34oz..
Currently doing a run with Ethos strains so see howthat goes :)
