Anyway, I want to thank you for saying this, CG. I've been following your work from afar for a while and always thought you appeared to be a class act ....... snip....
CG is an incredible class act. He's smart and insightful and I hope he is right.

Sativex, coming soon. Marijuana by prescription.
I've been on dronabinol for a while now, started taking it just before I started smoking! I'm kinda looking forward to Sativex maybe because I'll be one of the few that actually get to use it. When/if it comes around I'm sure it will be kept under a tight watch still. The dronabinol doesn't get you high just helps with the nausea, but when mixed with smoking it makes the high a bit longer which really helps with the nausea!

Dronabinol is the International Nonproprietary Name (INN) for a pure isomer of THC, (–)-trans-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the main isomer in cannabis.

Sativex is the perfect way to allow the sick access to marijuana while still keeping it illegal to grow for everyone but Big Pharma.

Here is the official White House response to the numerous petitions for legalization. Please make note of the one single word that is in italics.

https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions#!/response/what-we-have-say-about-legalizing-marijuana

Now, google Sativex. Here's the Wikipedia article to get you started, but there's a lot more out there for anyone inclined to do a little reading.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sativex

Just a little food for thought.
I read the response to the petitions and it is complete and utter bullshit, lie after lie after lie holy fuck reading stuff like that pisses me off, not saying I will or would ever consider it (I'm not violent) but stuff like that makes people feel like voting from the rooftops with their rifles

It is quite sickening, indeed. Nancy Reagan era bullshit. But I just keep coming back to the word 'smoked' being italicized. There's got to be more to this whole thing than deliberate head-in-the-sand ignorance, and the only thing I come up with is money. And who has more money than the pharmaceutical companies?

well operation fast and furious was a attempt to try and make roof top voting alot harder.
How does allowing 2000 guns being shipped to mexico and only 600 of them making it back make it harder??? seems that 1400 guns put out on the street by the atf makes it easier... It was an attempt to catch mexican gangs smuggling guns! Not to sound too cold hearted but I really couldn't care less about guns being taken out of the country, until they are supplied by our government and are used to kill people doing their job (which most likely had no idea operation fast and furious was going on). Imagine being the one to tell his family "Your Son/husband/father died by guns supplied to mexican gangs by your government..." Now maybe one of his family members want's to "vote from the roof top"...

On December 14, 2010, United States Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in a gun fight near Rio Rico, Arizona while trying to apprehend a group of armed suspects. Two weapons found at the crime scene were traced to a Glendale, Arizona gun store that had cooperated with ATF officials in "Fast and Furious." ATF field agents monitoring the U.S.-Mexico border had intended to apprehend gun smugglers attempting to cross over into Mexico with large numbers of guns, but were told by their superiors to stand down and let the smugglers pass.

Any chance you could give me the attorney's name? I'd love to have somebody that knowledgeable on my side as well. Thanks.
James Divine, Divine & Liederman, Ventura, Ca. You can look him up. He's good...great, actually. Not cheap.

Annie (Curious2garden), Thank you for the kind words.

I love the "roof top voting" phrase. The 99%'s should adopt a similar position. Roof top voting works quite well in other countries to influence government action. The corps. have the big carrot, but nothing beats a .300 Weatherby Magnum for a stick. It seems extreme, but nothing short of that would sway Policy Maker's votes away from the Big Money.

DSM, you asked who has more money than Big Pharma? Only 2 industries: Big Insurance & Finance, and Big Energy (oil, baby!). In actual dollars controlled, nothing comes even close to insurance companies. All those premiums we pay are invested until needed to pay a claim...which is why they're paired with Big Finance. Big oil is...well...they're Big Oil...what else can you say.

Thw White House response to marijuana almost made me puke to read. What a farce. How many emergency rooms visits due to marijuana? Do people actually believe that shit? Does the government think we're that stupid? Are we that stupid? We need more open debate. The Facts are on our side. Notr that it would help. The majority of people favor legalization, yet the government stays the course. If the government and Big Pharma are stupid enough to believe that a pill of any sort will replace smoking, let them live their little dream. It will be just like Marinol....a huge joke. People like the act of smoking. No pill can replace that.

I don't think they want to replace weed with a pill. I think they are trying to figure out how to grab a big piece of the weed pie. I also think they are coming up short. Our industry is entrenched. Just here in Cali the total weed market is estimated to be between 1.5 billion to 4.5 billion. We are currently servicing that market without any problem. In fact, we're doing so well that prices are dropping. Does anyone really think that some big corp can come in and take over our market? I seriously doubt it. I also think they are figuring this out. It's looking more and more like they don't really have a plan and are just buying time.

Fast and Furious is another joke. 2000 guns? So fucking what. Our government is the biggest arms dealer in the world. Fast and Furious was supposed to be another little public relations operation...showing what we are doing to stop the violence in Mexico. Like so many operations run by the government law enforcement agencies, it failed and back-fired. Let us not forget who these "agencies" are: A bunch of lazy fucks who wanted a job impossible to get fired from. If we really wanted to stop the violence in Mexico...I mean REALLY wanted to...we would legalize all drugs tomorrow. This would cut off their money. Why bring a ton of coke through a tunnel when 100 tons is just cruising up the coast legally in shipping containers? But, this will never happen because the government really does not give one shit about the violence in Mexico. They care about their image.

Rooftop voting. I like it.

Hey now... marinol isn't a huge joke... just a medium size one! I take it and it helps with my nausea! But it in no way replaces smoking/vaping! Its a joke trying to take a pill while you are throwing up and then suffering while you hold it down and wait for it to work! Im glad I can mix though! The big joke is the price of these things!

I'm glad Marinol provides you some relief. Any relief, in my mind, makes a drug worth while. The joke is the notion that Marinol will replace regular old weed as medicine.
