yeah sativas are a big difference, they take so much more patience. they will reward you with great buds, but make sure you let them flower as long as you can before harvest to get the biggest tastiest buds possible. sativas (and indicas alike)sometimes require that u harvest the top buds first to let the lower ones fatten up before they're picked. i highly recommend that! especially with big beautiful girls like those! i luv to see success with bag seeds! i use em myself sometimes!
i wish ya the best o'luck with the girls. kudos for using flouros too!

thanks skunk. yeah im definitely going to use fluoros always to veg. its a cheap cool way to get some good 24 hr light to the little girls. I dont even want to know what my electric bill would look like if i ran my hps 24hrs! i guess thats why some people do 18/6.

I cant wait to get my first harvest. i could care less what i get for dried weight but im expecting a coupld oz's with all the bud sites i have. we'll see though! its a learning process

Thats a great attitude to have but i think you'll get more than a couple of oz now you've got the hps. When i started i had my hps on 24/7 for veg then i read its better to have it on 18/6 and i noticed stronger faster growth with 18/6. You're doing way better than my 1st attempt, keep up the good work dude

people use 18/6 because at night the plant grows roots more, 24/7 can cause stress in some strains and cause you to have more males. ive done both and i highly recommend 18/6. if you are observant enough, u can tell the plant grew during its dark cycle when you check on them. ive ran a 400 watt HPS ,that had the ballast in the fixture, on 24/7 before. it got very very hot, and the plants didnt like that, neither did i for that matter. it was dangerously hot. hps is best used for flowering really. flouros can be used for the veg cycle, i even use them to flower with(not by choice).
are you using molasses? thats something ive been doing lately and ive had nothing but success with it. every 2'nd or 3'rd watering add about a tablespoon of UNSULFERED molasses to a half gallon of water. it feeds the microbes in the soil, and promotes bud growth. there is lots of info on it if you do a lil searching, its even been recommended by big names like jorge cervantes. might be something worth looking into, a jar of molasses is like $3 or $4 at most grocery stores. i use grandma's robust molasses, it has a green label.
keep up the good work with those lovely ladies! remember sativas require patience! your doing great!

A ton of new pics today. Some might be old too but I dont know I have 25 to upload give or take.

I'm getting some molasses soon hopefully i really want these bud to start gettin thick and juicy. I started germing 4 kush beans last night so those r gettin ready to go in veg. I cant wait to start those up after seeing howak's kush girls. We'll see how they turn out.

Here are the pics. Week 4 day 6 of flowering. Might as well just call it week 5 cuz thats what today is.

The lower buds seem to be plumping up well. The upper buds not so much and are looking pretty whispy. It's gotta be the light but i looked today and theyare looking much better after i fed them nutes and supercropped.
Hopefully i'll get some reaction out of them from the molasses during the next water.

tie it up? how so? like cuz the stems are too weak and falling over. yeah the side buds definitely are. and cfls were used to veg like they will be for all my operations, however they did get fatter stems when the hps started up

Your patience will be rewarded if the genetics are good. I'm doing 2 super silver hazes ATM and one smells real nice and the other is growing really weak and wispy and doesn't smell of anything and its directly under a 600w hps. You might want to think about a hybrid so you get the best of both worlds.

To my surprise, all kush beans germ'd ALL FOUR! so 3 of them had shed the seeds too. Only after 4 days I think and they are yellow cotyledons which i planted in the soil showing just a little. The one with the seed not shed yet i just buried a half inch in the soil. They are in the window sill right now just gonna give em sunlight for a week or so till i get my veg cab set up. There is no sun out there right now. but my veg tent is too hot for little seedlings. I'll update when i get some pics.

So for the kush im thinking Im going to do 2 12/12 from seed and 2 vegging up for 4 weeks or so since I dont have much room in my flowering cab, But i really want some Indicas in there as soon as possible!
