the White House has always manipulated people. This is not new. Remember how GWB played on the sympathy of people to garner support for the war in Iraq with all the "remember 9/11" crap, despite the fact that Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11?

The White House is not the "people's house", it's the President's house. The PEOPLE's house is the House of Representatives, clearly demonstrated this session by the House's relentless commitment to the "public option" in the health care debate (which is actually quite a compromise for many of them who have supported a SINGLE PAYER system for years now).

Micheal Savage thinks muslims should be banned from the US. Yeah, he's a stand-up guy, isn't he? :roll:

"National health care"? Where?! AFAIK, the only bill that would really provide universal, single payer coverage isn't even on the table.

You obviously didn't read Green Crosses post, or at least you didn't absorb it.

SEIU is backing the government take over of health care because the unions have buried themselves in unsustainable pensions and health care for life programs. Once government takes over health care, that puts a whole lot of money (power) back into the hands of the unions ... and union bosses. Its all about power, my friend.

Pick a unionized industry and I'll show you an industry protected by govt. or going down the toilet.

How would "government takeover" put MORE power into the hands of private industries, anyway? I thought the whole idea of a government takeover was for the GOVERNMENT to take the power... otherwise, what's the point? Pharma and the insurance companies ALREADY HAVE ALL THE POWER!!!!
