More Government Lies

Hey y'all, just thought I'd throw this out there. Ron Paul is looking better and better every single day. Can we all agree to not allow anymore Statists into government; whether they are democrat or republican? Please? We don't need government interfering with our lives!!! We fought a few wars over this and prevailed. So let's not make this 235 year old experiment die.

The Obama administration has officially broken its promise to medical marijuana patients.
In clarifying their 2009 "Ogden Memo," the Department of Justice has declared medical marijuana dispensaries as the new enemy in the war on drugs. This is likely to carry grave consequences for thousands of patients who depend on dispensaries for access to their medicine, and for the caregivers who put so much on the line to provide it.
The war on drugs is expanding, and we need to immediately ramp up our efforts to protect patients, caregivers and state employees. We will work to get important stories in the press and organize volunteers nation-wide to stop this assault on patients rights -- but we need your help.
Can you donate $5 to Just Say Now's campaign to protect medical marijuana patients, caregivers and state employees from federal prosecution?

Since taking office two years ago, President Obama has promised to respect marijuana laws while quietly supporting violence and intimidation to further the drug war at the very same time. From SWAT teams gunning down innocent, unarmed people in botched raids to US Attorneys General threatening state employees with prosecution for implementing marijuana laws, the situation at home is getting worse.
The DOJ now equates dispensary owners operating legally under state laws with the drug cartels. But the reality is that if they take down the dispensaries, patients will be forced into the black market in order to obtain the medicine they so desperately need.
We need your help to make an effective stand for patients and caregivers alike right now. Just Say Now activists like yourself have been instrumental in bringing the debate surrounding medical marijuana to the forefront of American politics over the past year and we want to keep the momentum going strong.
Your support of our work to end the war on marijuana has been amazing so far - can you chip in $5 to help us escalate our campaign to protect patients, caregivers and state employees?
Chip in $5 to help Just Say Now protect patients' access to medical marijuana and fight back at the Obama Administration's attempts to label the sick as criminals.
Thank you for your support of our campaign. While we're certainly disappointed by this news, we are committed to working with you to protect some of our most vulnerable citizens.
Deepest thanks,
Brian Sonenstein

I'll match people's donations up to $50[I'd say $100 but money is tight right now] and I would encourage people to become card carrying members of the ACLU.

As opposed to the government and their underpaid whinny ass prosecutors?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend, so it's actually, Fuck YOU, my friend.

Eff the gov, and eff the ACLU. Very rarely do I agree with the ACLU, and very rarely do I agree with the feds. The point is neither of them are for individual liberties, they would both rather you eff off and not bother them, as long as you just keep paying the taxes and membership fees.

"Most bad government has grown out of too much government." Thomas Jefferson
"Democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those willing to work and give to those who would not." Thomas Jefferson

The second one sounds earily familiar to "redistribute the wealth" doesn't it.

Wow, wasn't looking to start a big debate. Seems to me that the ACLU is trying to do some good. I guess it's a little like playing the lotto, probably not going to win, could win a little something, could win big, but you have to pay to play. I'm not an attorney so, I guess short of starting a law suit myself, I felt like lending a little support would be the next best thing. Also, I'd appreciate it if people wouldn't infer that if you're a ACLU member, you're unemployed and chasing a easy buck or that you're lazy. I'm sorry, I just fail to make the connection. I don't know about anyone else, but I've been pretty apprehensive about everything that's been going on to respect of the law. It's painfully obvious to me that the efforts are to strip the rights from the people, rather than protect them and to make it overly expensive and difficult.
