Movies to watch in October

Who doesn't love a good horror movie in October? So I encourage everyone to post their favorites and also suggest which ones to stay away from.

I watched Bone Tomahawk recently and I say, stay away. It had Kurt Russle looking like Wyatt Earp, hunting down cannibal Indians in the western days. I'm thinking how could this go wrong? I'll tell ya how, it was long and boring... they didn't even show the cannibals tell the end of the movie.

The next movie is 31 by Rob Zombie. If you're a rob zombie fan you might like it. If Texas chainsaw massacre and saw had a baby, it would be this movie. Then add sadistic clawns and there you have it. Old school slasher with no real story to it. And of course, it starred his wife again.

I am looking forward to seeing the new Blair witch. I liked the 1st one, but not the 2nd one. So hopefully this 3rd one is good.

Let me know what you guys and gals think. Which ones should we have a look at next?

I like older horror movies

But a recent one I watched which was good was the witch
when the goat spoke at the end, that was creepy
The Witch was SO awesome. Not just as a horror flick, but an amazing movie - the cinematography, the incidental music, and the acting, especially by the children, Tomasin and Caleb. Robert Eggers researched for 5 years before making that flick, and he won Best Director at Sundance. The last 15 minutes, I was at the edge of my chair. I watched it with my kid last weekend, he loved it, too...

Yeah, Black Phillip: Would thou like to live deliciously? So creepy. Not many movies go to the place of killing and eating babies after smearing their guts all over them. Crazy shit...

Has anyone seen Lights Out? That looked pretty freaky.

Also, Split looks pretty good. M. Night Shyamalan's flicks either suck hard or hit it out of the park. I hope this one is the latter. LOVE James McAvoy, and it stars the Tomasin from The Witch. Quite the little actress...
