Hey guys, you think this will be better for the clones?
I have the mat, then about a 1/2 inch, then the tray sitting on a wire shelf piece.
The heater is on, and i have the 7" dome on it.
The light is about 1 inch above that, maybe.
Ripped out old clones, they were brown and dead.
So, we start over.:wall:
Cut 4 new WW, and 4 new PPP. Tried out two of each in rockwool cubes, and two of each in Prop. soil plugs.
Crossing fingers now!!!!!!

And......a pic. of my favorite girl, cryptonite!!!:weed:

Thats a nice setup.. It'll keep them safe, I'm just not sure if its necessary with your ambient temps, or if it would be better to have direct contact.. You got a thermoneter you could stick into the water inside it? 78-80°F is pretty ideal for rooting medium..

Imo,you can start the flushing now,if you havent already cause a long flush has not been confirmed as a cause for death, and God nows yours need a good flush!!!That brings back a memorie i dont no if your were here, but this guy had his plants in his bathroom and was asking how to flush his plants, and he was taking pics and knocked his plant top in first in the chitter, and he even took a picture and was asking now what the hell do i do!!!I told him hell just pull the handle then your done!!!lmaoThe best 5 bucks for this grow you didnt get,the Molassass is all i would give them, cause if you sayed it taste bad the M will atleast help give you a better taste.Atleast it does mine.
Yup, i'll be flushing this coming week.
I remember something about that, saw a pic of it sitting on the back of the toilet. That was some funny shit!!:-P
Man, i know i couldn't find any mollas., hydro store doesn't sell it.
Can i use just regular mollass, from the grocery store? Or is that some different stuff?

Taste of premature weed isn't necessarily telling of the properly finished product.. I don't think they need much more food either, and yea a carb boost would be great..
Ok, so another vote for starting flush this week.
I heard this before too, about the premature buds.

water inside what born?
I thought you said earlier to not have direct contact with the mat to the tray?
That's why i did this, to give it breathing room.
I got one, it said it was maxed at 95-100% Humidity, i'll have to recheck the heat again tommorrow. I think it was at like 70 before the mat.

You're working in a colder than normal environment I think.. If you put those mats in direct contact in a 72° room then you might regret it, but colder areas will obviously allow faster cooling.. Better to be a little too cool than too warm though..
I think those mats were designed to be used in a greenhouse early seaon in direct contact..
I meant test the temperature of the water or medium or whatnot in that tray.. Not necessarlu the same as the air temperature under lights if thats where you got 70°..
I get molasses at the bulk store for 91 cents/lb.. Its unsulfered, they have both fancy and blackstrap at most places.. I buy a few hundred pounds of that a year for making rum..

Unsulfered mollassas at the Grocery Sto.Less than 3bucks.There is no nurserys up there?
well, there is, but they are not really open to the public, and the ones that are only sell trees and shrubs, flowers and stuff. They don't have a home gardening section with those supplies in it. I checked the hydro store and the two local ones. it could be cuz it's off season here. Not much business at the nursery's when it's 10 degrees out side!!LOL!!!
Thanks beech, i'll be at the store to get some tommorrow.
What's the dosage on that stuff and how do ya' use it?

Ok, so check the temps in the medium......got it on the list for tommorrow.
Thanks born, seems like this is the hardest part so far, cloning that is.

Its just a bunch of carbs, and will give your bud a little hint of sweetness.I use it for several reasons not just taste.Think of it like Vitamins for plants! You no i use the horticulture grade, cause it has alot of trace elements and is made for plants.Natures Guide is the brand i use,and like what it does for my plants makes them real green and healthy.Basically a carbo boost im sure you have heard of that eh?:-P

Lilmafia, good to know they are almost ready. Keep us posted man.

My buddy used molasses in his DWC and says it turned all his roots black and stopped growth. Chances are that he just poured some of that shit in there and walked away though...

Never hurt mine, but I only added a few tbls of it, and the res was over 100L.. Its kind of pointless in hydro though unless you're using a probiotic setup like I was for a while.. I actually had 2 res's for a couple crops.. One was typical expensive hydro nutes, the other was goldfish and a bacterial complex to break down their waste..
Plants themselves may pull a tad of nutrition from the molasses, but the purpose of adding it is actually to feed the microbes so they can continue to perform a whole bunch of symbiotic tasks..
Cannabis will actually dump alot of its carb reserves into the soil for this purpose, and usually ends up a bit lacking later in the season, so by supplimenting we keep those critters happy & active..

Hey Lilmafia,

I see you got the rack set up just like I would have. Now I see what you got going on.

Are your rooter plugs setting in 2" net pots? That's the only thing I would change. I have found the roots start out growing sideways and if they hit air they die. You might be able to keep it moist enough by spraying but it is a hell of a lot easier to put your cubes in something with solid sides and a drain. Cubes keep moist longer too.

How about a closer shot of the girls?
