my first grow

high again happy people & weed smokers. i just thought you would like to see my plant. i dont know what strain it is as i was given a seed by a friend. its just started to flower uder a small 60w flouro. its 11 weeks old & 15 inches high.
can anyone let me know if it looks ok as this is my first.

Lookin fine there, o2. A coupla questions if I may;

Has the plant shown sex yet? I can't tell from the pics.

Is the plant in an enclosure? If not, you should get some reflectivity goin for that light. And you may want to look into more light soon. Floros don't penetrate the plant very far and lower growth suffers. More light = more bud.

it started flowering on monday n its female. i have it in a wardrobe n it is lined i just took it out for the pics. i know its not a bright light ive got @ 60w but its all i can afford at the moment. ive been looking at a 250 or 400w hps but it will be a few weeks yet b4 i can get one. theres buds showing to about half way down the plant but nothing lower.

hi again i thought id put more pics up of my grow room & plant. my light ia a 4 tube facial solarium that my wife dont use anymore = 4 x 15w total of 60 w. the last pic shows the buds starting to form.

Plant is looking good my friend. To maximize the plant's growth potential add some CFLs on the side and some CO2 if you can. Everything is looking good so far. Good luck on harvest day!

cheers for the advice pauliojr. i'll get some CFL's round it but im not sure how to do the CO2. im not sure where to buy the ingredients either. i'll put some pics up when ive added the CFL's.

i see spindly looking stems anyone else?

go to walmart for the CFL's they have some of the strongest ive seen a 42 watt, ive never seen anythng higher. and the Co2

the ingredients are all household things, besides the active yeast. good luck man!

I'm impressed it looks as good as it does. Well done. I don't know how dense your buds will be but you've done well just to get to this point. You may want to add some molasses to your waterings - about 2 tbs/gallon. This helps the buds swell. My biggest concern with my grow is that I get those airy "popcorn" buds with no density (hence, very little THC and no high when smoked). Hope you can avoid this too. Good luck.

hi there rob butts thanx for the luck. i would go to walmart but i live in the uk & we dont have that store over here. the biggest ive seen is 30w. ive got 3x 20w cfl's that i can use. as soon as its on its light on cycle i'll add the cfl's. cheers mate.

thanx for your input hearmenow. i'll try & get the molasses today & also get some co2 going if i can get some yeast. ive got 3 cfl's to rig up also so hopefully this will help as "rob butts" suggested. all this input from everyone is a great help and is being noted for my next grow. keep the suggestions coming. "gooner69" does the pot size matter that much? its in a 10" pot which i thought would be big enough.

i was reading other threads n i saw that some people are using tomorite for the flowering. does this work? how much should i use per watering?

i have just finished my grow and i used tomorite and i had a good yeild
at first i only gave it 5ml for the first week then upped it every week
by the end i was giving it 30ml every water (which was every day)
i used 1ltr of it on one grow(1ltr in 2months)
i am going to use it on my second grow as well i think its good stuff
dont forget i am fairly new to growing ( just finished my second grow)

thats my 2 cfl's rigged up now & ive just done a feed with tomorite. ive got some molasses made up for my next watering so i just have to wait & see what happens now. the cfl's are 20w which means they give out 100w each which is 260w in total with my uv flouro's. here is 2 more pics of my grow room with the new lights. thanx again to all who have gave me advice & tips, i'll keep the pics coming so you can see how its doing.

Hey dude! I was checking out your thread. They do look good, but DoobsDay has a point too. You did ok for vegging with those lights, but is there any chance you can add say, 2 or 3 more of those lights to your grow? I think if you do that, she'll reward you in the end, for the present you bought her.
