My First Harvest!

Hi RIU,

After asking a million & 1 questions on here, burning the plant numerous times and just going through the everything you can imagine....My lady is finally done. Unfortunately I wasn't able to weight before I hung as I failed to grab a scale in time. But it's on it's way!

Some details:
-Critical +
-Flowered: 72 days
-Medium: Fox Farm Ocean Forest
-Nutrients: Floraduo A & B, CalMagic, Liquid Koolbloom
-1,000 Watt HPS (This female was vegged under T5's)..Moving forward everything is vegged under MH
-4in Carbon Filter pulled by a 4 in intake
-Hood is air cooled with a 6in but honestly I never use it. But with the summer approaching, going to have to throw an A/C in there or run the fan all the time, which I want to avoid.
-Went from Distilled to Tap...Both PH'ed
-I did not Top or LST at all. I wish I did! All my females in veg right now have been topped and LST. So hoping for a better yield. Not complaining tho

I appreciated any advice and criticism. I want to learn for myself, and my patients when I grow my next crop. Speaking of, here is the lineup in veg: Mazar Kush, OG Kush, Pineapple Skunk, Blue Dream (x'2) So I have 5 in total about to go into flower.

Thanks everyone for the help!

Let me just say, that dick looks beautiful.

Nice cola man! Good sized nugs!

Don't worry about weighing until after the initial dry. Remember to properly cure for that smooth smoke!

How long did you veg? And can we get a cola can or lighter next to the bundle of buds for comparison?

Congrats man, you should be proud for your first haul. Got a Critical+ in veg and now I know what success looks like!

You guys are awesome, thanks for the kind words! I'll try and take a picture of the main cola with a soda can for size comparison, tomorrow.

All of the people who want to harvest their immature plants should take a look at your pics to see what a filled out, mature bud looks like.

Good job.

I'll say this, the one thing I remembered from reading this forum...If you think it's ready, wait another week. Plus I kept checking the trichomes obsessively, lol.

Let's hope the smoke is as good as how it looks!

UPDATE!

Well, I knew I'd probably f$#k up somewhere in the process again.. So my harvest has been hanging for about 3 days and I checked on them today and flowers are pretty dry. Some may say TOO dry.

Is it a bad idea to throw a humidfier in the closet and put some moisture back in, or will anything change moisture wise with putting them into the jars? UNFORTUNATELY, my condo is dry and my RH hovers around 20-25%.

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

If I remember correctly the cure for this is to throw them into a jar with a leaf or two ( anything with some moisture will work ) and let the leaf rehydrate the buds.

A small piece of bread or a little piece of lettuce will rehydrate you a bit....but just watch for mold like RoughGrows said.
