well it has been several weeks now and i still haven't killed any of my babies i actually brought one back from the dead however she is still much smaller than my other ones she is starting to thrive. I now have 8 cfl lights on them 6 are 100 watt out put 1600 lumens each and I have 2 60 watt out put and i cant remember what the lumens are on those. But the babies seem to be thriving nicely in their new set up in a few weeks i am going to be putting them in a stealth grow box with vents and a carbon filter and even more lights. As of right now my biggest baby has 7 nodes and the rest have 5 except for the one i reserectid she has 3 nodes. does this sound about right for their age? My camera and computer are stupid so i have been unable to post more pics but as soon as i can i will be doing so.
thanks

ahh i have some kind of problem.. First my plants have plenty of light and they aren't hot they are in a comfortable climate. I haven't been giving them nutes so at first when the leaves started to turn light green and they started wilting i read up and found what i thought to be a nirtrogen def. So i got some fish aquarium water to help and i added some coffee grounds not a lot just a little to help with this problem and now it has only been a day and some of the leaves that were turning the light green color are now looking like they have some burnt dots on them. and of course i can't post pics cause for some reason my computer and camera aren't compatable at the moment and i will have to wait until i go back to work. The leaves I am really worried about are green with light green areas with dots that look like they have been heated up and slightly burnt. Not enougth to burn the whole plant but just enough to cause brown dots. Can anyone give me any clues as to what may be causing this.
Thanks. Up until now i thought my plants were doing great for a first grow and now i am scared i might loose some of them and there is like 3 i really want to keep if they turn out to be female.

I use the old axiom. If In Doubt Flush It Out, First. They only problem you won't cure by flushing is poor drainage and I doubt that is a problem or you wouldn't have gotten them to this point. When you flush them you want to use a 1/4 strength nute solution, and pour, litterally, twice the capacity of the pot thru it and let it drain. By the time they are ready to water again they should show improvment. ALl of the dead or dying plant material will need to be trimmed off as they recover. More than likely the 'deficiency' you were seeing is just a normal part of our plant, they will routinely shed some of those lower leaves the plant no longer needs. If the yellowing was at the bottom this is probably what you had, now you have nute burn, you tried to correct a non-existant problem, and you need to flush to get rid of that. Now if ....you already know the pictures would help. VV

Well i just flushed my babies in hopes of helping to fix there problems this is my first grow and my first flush so i hope everything goes well. I flushed them and now they are sitting in my bath tub for awhile why they finish draining then i am going to put them back in my grow room so they can get more light. i hope this flush really helps them cause they are looking kinda sickly.
Thanks for all the help.

after the flush the little ladies are perking up a bit and they are starting to smell pretty strongly. I am going to have to make my box here pretty soon with a carbon filter.
right now they are doing so much better. i am thankful for the info to flush them. i will keep you updated.

yea true school did suck and this is much more profitable for personal use. (don't have to spend as much money here when harvest hits) Well last night i trimmed all the dead and dying leaves off of my babies and this morning when i looked in on them they looked so much better starting to perk up again and i also topped three of my babies. i only did half of them so that i could see what i like more since this is my first grow i thought i would do 50/50 and see which i prefer.
I have also desided to convert an old dresser into a grow box (stelth of course) it will still look like a dresser when i am done.
False drawers and everything to boot so it will look and be stealth. I can't wait to finish it this weekend when i am off of work.
Looking forward to it.
yea ha.
Ok enough on that brain storm. thanks for the help.

so here are some of them.
The one with the hand in the shot is the one i rescued from death and now she is the widest one and the happiest looking one.

Ok well my babies are starting to get bigger and o course starting to stink, I am going to be moving soon it was an unexpected move but where i am moving to i won't have to worry about the smell or the height really so it is for the better and it is in a slightly cooler climate so my purple might actually turn purple..
Well i just looked at my little ladies and one of them has these translucent bulbs but they aren't balls it kind of looks like the stem was ripped a little bit away from the main stem and that the plant has healed over the crack with plant matter making the stem junction way stronger. none of the other plants have this and i have never seen any thing like this pictured. i will be trying to get a decent pic later today but my camera isn't the best for that type of thing but i am going to try it.

well i was going to try to put some into flowering this month but i am going to wait until i get moved before i do that as i will be able to let them get bigger where i am moving to. i am going to flower some as soon as i get up there like three of my babies as i would like a harvest sooner rather then later, but the rest i am going to veg longerand let them get way bigger first.
thanks

Well for the last couple of nights i have been turning the regular lights off and leaving blue lights on because i am not ready to flower but thought they might need a little bit of a rest from the normal lights, I have noticed that in the mornings when i check on them and turn the regular lights on they seem perkier and happier, also i started a new seedling a week ago and she is massive in size now she is on her fourth node and her leaves are huge, I have trimmed the damaged leaves off leaving only the ones that are green and healthy, they are looking so much better. My largest one i am calling Isis because she is Ice and Afghani mix ( what i was told by the original grower) and she is almost 12 inches tall now, one of my other plants is about 10 inches tall now and they are looking pretty good the inner leaves are getting bigger and my plants are looking more and more bushy.
I will try to post more pics as soon as i can.

I had to check your location, its always been there, never looked at until now. My puter says you posted this @ 2:43am. I see thats probably just before midnight your time. I thought for a minute you were up all night worrying about them, which wouldn't make any sense if they are doing better. Takes old people awhile to catch up. Look forward to the pictures. I think Isis is a nice name. VV

well i haven't gotten any new pictures taken as ofyet but i do have some new news......
I have put the blue lights in with my plants and it seems to be HELPING alot for the last three days each plant is growing at least a 1/2 inch if not more. My youngest plant wich is only like 2 weeks old is in a larger pot so her roots have plenty of room well she is now 5 1/2 inches tall and has 4 sets of leaves and working on ther 5th set of leaves.
i am really impressed with her because her stem is very thick and her leagves are very big and she seems to really like the blue light.

Also my other plants are getting thicker branches and the leaves are more and they are becoming bushier. I am liking the color light therapy as i am calling it.

When it is time for flowering i am going to use some red and orage lights with the cfls as well and see how it works because the blue lights are helping alot especially for my first grow.

Thanks for listening

ok sorry it has been so long since i have written in here it has been a little bit crazy. well i have put some of my plants into 12 12 and have harvested my first two plants a little premie but they were also hermies so i am not sure really how good it was my boyfriend liked it and said for my first time i did a really good job it made him cough and he was happy with the little and i mean little bit we got off of the one little plant
it was about a half eighth but not bad for my first little plant and we got some more seeds for the seed bank which is cool.
oh well i have 6 more plants that i am 12 12 ing and they should be ready in about another 15 days or so so we will see what happens with my second harvest.
