how far away is your light?

I just switched over to hps. The first 2 weeks of flower I like to run my mh to try and help control the stretch. I run my ladies under a 600. I keep it about 18in above the canopy during veg and flower.

Okay, here is a picture closer to the top. Is this convincing enough to say this plant is male?

I see what your getting at about the question of female/male. from earlier pictures Id say def female. just keep doing what your doing, they looking fine. and you do not need to worry so rushingly. you can see the male plant very easily and it still grow for a awhile befor pollen squirts everywhere. when the pistil has a somewhat ball figure around it then you definatley know its male. but that picture on the right could be male, or the beginning of the bud formation of a female. I would love to know the feedback more experienced growers have on this advice as I am in no way a George Cervantes.

Hey Prophet just out of curiosity what kind of soil mix do have going on? Im sick of bags of dirt that already have bugs growing in them. Just noticed I gotta start over kus a lot of tiny tiny like bugs that kinda bounce an inch or two around on my hand when sifting through the dirt came home with me

I use 50% starter soil (0-0-0), with 10% cactus and succulent soil, 30% perlite, and 10%[FONT=arial, sans-serif] vermicullite, I buy the starter soil at a garden centre and make sure I avoid miracle grow. I normally buy no-name brand, and ask the store owner for a return guarantee when it has bugs in it. Never saw a bug though. I mix it up and let it rest for 10 days, with a bit of pH adjusted water in it. For nutrients i only use pH Perfect Sensi Grow A+B and Sensi Bloom A+B, supplemented with some B-52. I am no expert and this is my first grow. This recipe is keeping the plants nice and bushy, with plenty of CFL everywhere. Hope this helps you.[/FONT]

yea bro thanks. not my first grow and haven't in awhile but my Dad has for the last couple years had some serious blood pressure problems and he tried some cannabis lately and it dropped it like 20 points almost immediately so Im commited to doing this right for him. too much medicine nowadays comes with so many dangerous and sometimes deadly side effects so if some cannabis works, then hey

Tossed it. I have low vision, that is why it is difficult for me to be sure. I might post a few pictures of 3 other plants in the next few days, if that is okay...

Okay, here are two other plants, 2 weeks younger than the one I just tossed. Not sure if it is too early to tell though...
