Decided to whip up some seafood chowder for the weekend. I usually make a lot because we never know who'll show up.

8lbs golden potatoes
4 large onions
5lbs haddock
2.5lbs lobster meat
2lbs scallops
4 cans evap milk
1 pint cream
1 stick unsalted butter
2 large bay leaves.

I use either a 12 or 16qt stock pot and this fills it pretty well.

Just gotta pop some rolls in the oven and I'm done. Now everyone can just grab a bowl full when they're hungry and I dont have to fuss over a big dinner.

I thought it was what I call fat back. I get it at the BBQ exchange in Barboursville and save that and some pork belly for beans. Either way it's amazing!

You make great posts here. I could cook with you! More, please
Seems like food, weed and music attract the same folks!

Grabbed some chilli con carne from the fridge. Means I’ll sweat all night trying to digest it lol

I make it with Turkey mince now as I find it takes the spices better than beef. Always done beef mince but it does seem to slightly overpower the spices.

I’ll try and share some more in the future :)

I typically take 2-3 deer in the fall & we love it in chili's, lasagna, meat loaf etc... If the recipe calls for ground meat then it's almost always venison.
