I lolled :D

Every thread he starts is his asking some retarded question that google could answer in 10 seconds.

Every post he makes in a thread that is not his own he acts like he knows wtf he is talking about and dispenses bad advice, argues with actual growers and generally makes himself look like an idiot.

It's so funny to come from a post where he is argueing over photoperiod effects on un-sexed seedlings to see him asking basic grow questions like this thread.

Just goes to show that he is very clueless, and has a big mouth.
You wonder about some peoples brain functioning lol, "I can shoot off about anything in any thread cause people aren't gonna read it through my posts effecting my credibility and making me look dumb" Dictionary answers like you said come from wiki, not from the seasoned growers here who speak from years of true how-to knowledge.

holy shit..green IS brightness to us..

"Lighting Spectrum and Photosythesis

The most common mistake people make with plants is to not understand photosynthesis and the visible spectrum of lighting that affects plant growth. Most people choose lighting solely based on the Kelvin temperature of a bulb. This tells you very little about what type of light within the spectrum is being emitted and at what strength. Visible light is on a scale in nanometers (radiated wavelength) from 400nm (violet) to 700nm (red). Simple matter of photosynthesis: plants can only utilize light that is absorbed. Bright light is essential yet only a portion of this white light is used for photosynthesis. The blue and red zones of the visible spectrum are the most beneficial to plants. Green plants appear green because it is reflected light. How "bright" a light appears has more to do with how much light is output in a given area visible to the human eye, with "brightness" being at a maximum in the green spectrum (middle of visible spectrum, or around 550nm).
"

im so confused. GG

All CFL light bulbs regardless of Kelvin rating radiate mostly light between 400Nm and 700Nm with a small amount of UVB, UBA, and infrared light radiation. That is also the visible range of wavelengths of light the human eye is able to filter or see (400Nm-700Nm). A light being "bright" or "visible" to the human eye has really no bearing on light used by plants for photosynthesis. The more lumens a light source emits is a measure of it's "brightness" or intensity. They made CFL light bulbs for people to use as general illumination indoors that works efficiently and could closely resemble natural outdoor light, not so people could all start growing pot or other plants indoors lol. A CFL's kelvin rating has to do with the coating on the inside of the bulb and inert gases that it contains, that either allows it to pass through, or absorbs certain wavelengths of light, mimicking the sun's light change in color temperature during the seasonal year (Spring,Summer,Fall,Winter). It's all information that is not hard to come by.

4 pages?....I'm sure there will be 4 more pages of crap coming our way and he still won't understand what lights to use
LMFAO wow I have read a few posts by bmeat and I actually feel sorry for him and his family. He has some major mental issues, and I hope something is done about it. I laugh in total disbalief because I could never comprehend how someone can say these things, think that they have a bearing on reality in any way, and continue to argue when for whatever reason a few people actually try to help this kid. He should probably just be ignored because insults and constructive criticism go in one ear and out the other , I really hope he gets some help. Just happy that I'm not him because really people don't choose to be mentally ill, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

bmeat is a kid first off. And he's a Canadian. Neither = mental retardation. Feel for him. An apple does not fall far from the tree it grew on. Public ridicule of him and those like him are bad karma. Just an old man thinking though . . ..

I know he's a kid... That's why I referred to him as "kid" in my last post. Lots of kids suffer from mental illness in some form. Also I never said he was Mentally Retarded, I said that he suffers from some form of mental illness. My uncle is Bipolar but he is far from retarded/slow/stupid. He did get the help he needed and I truly hope bmeat does as well.

Also I do have national pride but just because you where born in the same country as me, does not have any bearing on how much I trust, respect, or how I perceive their actions in any way.

Lol I wouldn't argue with you there, but I was trying to be nice :)

ive tried so hard to help him and got in an argument over something stupid so for as long as he's here ill troll him until he stops giving advice on something he dose not know

like im not saying i know everything but like ive said on a few post when the grower has asked me about organics i know nothing to do with it so i will say ask a organics grower i wouldn't tell him something i didnt know and this kid knows ntn but how to copy and paste shit

Ya I know that has become an exercise in futility I think. I agree, I will not say anything about something I'm not familiar with. I will say stuff I know, or just recall my from my own endeavors. I know full well there's tons of stuff for me to learn and really I probably don't know shit when it comes to cultivating at large with super great yields or nothin. I am learning though and try not to talk back to someone who is trying to help me, as I know nothing accounts for years of knowledge in the field. he literally is an enigma of "Whaaaat..... Theeeee..... Fuuuuuuuuuuccckkk??? Keep it real in the delta quadrantbongsmilie Nitro1990, I may ask for some advice in the near future, nice to know who's not a bonehead around here!

He says he's 21, have not seen him admit to being 15, if so he should be banned for just being a minor.

He has admitted to being from New Jersey USA.....so he is NOT a Canadian but yet the lying bastard continues to pretend he's from the Great White North.

God wants us to watch over the simple. He trusts us and lets us have pot in exchange for being decent humans. The poor guy is not playing with a full deck and he has a long life ahead of him. I just hope it isn't next door to me.

If bmeat is a troll, he is the most brilliant troll on the internet. If that's the case bmeat, I am in awe of you.

I agree and I think this is what we have been doing, or several of us, really trying to help this kid with his life, but most of us lack formal training on how to deal with mental health issues other than to be as nice as one can and hope to hell he gets professional medical treatment

and he has proven time and time again that he is not smart, thus this boy is not the most brillant troll on the internet, but rather a sad case of mental health issues

so ive stumbled on that uvb stuff. should i hang more daylight bulbs in hopes of increasing uvb?

i have 9 spots for bulbs. how many 6k should i hang and how many 3k for flower?

900W.pngMaybe something with a spectrum like this would work a little better. I hear alot of absolutes on this thread. But the fact is none of these lights that you are talking about even in combination are anywhere near sunlight. Try a bulb with afull spectrum and see the results of Tru Sun indoors. www.dnalightingsolutions.com. Highest yields bar none.
