DAY 15:
About the same, nothing much different either way...

EXCEPT....

I actually found this yesterday and forgot to mention it. Roots are coming out the bottom of Lara's cube, but the area where this is happening is like this black nasty spot (Is this Root Rot???) It looks crumbly, almost like real soil... hmm...

On second look, I see little black things (NOT bugs) on all cubes, just a spec here and there... are my cubes rotting???????

HELP... Not getting a lot of response, should these girls stay or should they go?? Or should I retry 1 or 2 and leave the others??

take it out they still to small for 15 days! whats da deal with the cubes r u using proper nutrients and ph cause they should be huge so tell me what ur using

they look dry too

They shouldn't be dry, if anything they got too much water, I kind of brightened up the pic for post so you could see them better....

I use the Flora series, used the "seedling" recipe/gallon of water, then soon went back to plain water... pH is 6.5-7.0

UPDATE: Night 15:
I have 4 need seeds germinating in their paper towel, I haven't decided if I'll just add these to the other three, or replace them. May give it a week or two to see how the new ones and old ones far.

It should be between 5.5 and 6.5 thats y why they are small and rockwool dose not have the nutrents to grow anything so thats prob y ur plants are black at the bottom probaly trying to check out early because they are not gettin the right things to grow seedlings are the most frigle things besides clones fuck them over and u wont have shit!!

Root rot or Pythium. Mix some hydrogen peroxide in PH balanced water, use the good 30% -50% food grade kind. 2 tablespoons for each gallon of water. You might have to give them some everyday to get rid of it. Do not overwater the cubes, you should have roots growing out the bottom pretty good by now, those roots need to be kept in a nice humid environment and not allowed to dry out, you need to put those cubes in net pots and into the DWC system ASAP. make sure the RW cubes do not touch the water.

Make sure the PH of your water going in is around 5.8 and the water of your DWC reservoir needs to be around 5.8 also. Measure your PPM levels, if they start to rise you need to add plain PH water to the reservoir to compensate for lost water and higher overall nute levels.

Where should my water level be in the DWC? Just to the bottom of the net pots??

i think the water can go up all the way as long as you aerate the water good enough. thats what i did. when you put it in the dwc it will surely grow faster

After 18 hours, the new seeds cracked open with tap root. They've been placed with the other babies... Well see how they do.

Oh. I mean pH of 5.5-6.0 sorry.

I keep getting mixed feedback about the nutes. Should I or shouldn't I use them on seedlings? They are in rockwool with NO nutrients... And they have a seedlng guide on the bottle?? But Ive seen myself the jute burn...

i wouldnt use the nutes. go out and make ur dwc system.

oh I've made my system before I ever had seeds LOL! Just need the clay balls... So my water level can go to the rockwool (for now while they're seedlings)?

wrong water should never touch the rockwool.......
idoits have u studied the grow faq have you wathed ready set grow vol one and 2 on youtube i think i need to give you the links

The you tube video built my DWC after was a RIU video (how I found this site) it mention just having the water reach the bottom of the net pots... But I've heard everything so I asked... Seems like everybody has their own methods that work for them, and I'm trying to find for me.

I do my research... Trying hard, just a whole new thing for me....

yeah i don't know man. Something ain't right. Mine just broke through yesterday and been under light for about 26 hours and their already past that point... Using 2 45watt florescents.

1/4 strength on the seedlings as far as nutes go. but don't be afraid to use a vitamin product like superthrive... that stuff works wonders.
