I gave in.... Couldn't help it. One of the little buds hidden in the back was showing some amber so I went ahead and cut a little 4g(wet) bud off. Amazing how much darker it looks on a white sheet of paper. I figured in order to really gauge this I need samples LoL! I also wanted to see the difference in some quick dried bud. I've got the nug sitting in a paper towel on top of my cable box where I always germ the seeds. Prob leave it there most of today and try it out on 3 the chamber bong tonight!

Very cool man! I have a WW bean in the freezer I'll prob be running her or the White Rhino after this next round of Sweet Tooth. Nirvana has proven to be a great seed bank so I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.

Thanks for coming for the ride bro!! I'll prob be running a reg journal once I chop these for the next SCROG round. Going to be with GH instead of FF nutes this round and I'm going to try less flushes since I hear people going 2-3 runs with add back techniques.

Lol, same here. Although this piece wasn't browning at all, it was just waaaay on the bottom with no hope of getting any light. I'm quick drying it now. It's probably not even 1g in weight wet.

Don't think I'm going to be able to get myself to hit that without it drying more, threw it in a cardboard rig to hang for a day or two now. Once it seems crunchy enough I'll toke it up.

You can put it in the oven on its lowest temp for an hour.

me and my friend had to quick dry some bud real quick once. we just used a blow dryer on low.

Well I just unintentionally harvested two branches off the back of her... Lifting the cooler lid to clean and do my final flush I forgot to slide her out from the wall a little and snapped two small branches off the backside of her. Went ahead and trimmed it up. About 11g wet on these premature buds. Going to just hold onto them with some of the better trim for some tincture trials after harvest.

Unfortunately my gf has our good camera at some horse shows this week so these are from my phone, sorry for the quality.


and no I haven't tried the first test bud either yet... Still a bit too wet for me and the quick drying methods all have horror stories attached (yes I'm a puss).

looks pretty good man. =) its nice to have a lil sample here and there. lol. i do it all the time. and ive used the oven method a few times... and it seemed to work ok for me.. maybe u should hang ur bud in front of the fan or usmthin? sumthin to speed up the drying process

I had a Gold branch snap off the other day. I had just checked trichomes and they were about 10% cloudy so I have it sitting in a open paper sack
Should be dry today, I'll test it after we eat...

What a bummer that branch snapped. I've been reading through this thread and must I say, awesome job dude. Everything looks yummy.

Well I just tested it out... Must say I'm happy with the results! For not being flushed and premature that shit knocked me on my ass for a couple hours nicely.

Put her down to 300ppms(dry kool bloom and molasses w/ a little left over water from the last batch) to start the flush. Once everything looks rdy to go I'll do 0ppms for a couple days and chop her. Doubt it'll be a week more before she comes down now.

I'll have my good cam back by then so I can get some shots of everything.

Not to mention that it wasn't even cured. Recently, with some buds I had leftover from an outdoor grow, the difference between the smoke say from when it just dried out(2 weeks), to when it began to properly cure was unbelievable!!! I mean, after chop at 2 weeks where it just dried, the smoke was decent, in that it produced a high and tasted ok. Then to say about 4-5 weeks curing in jars and burping every day, the smoke was fabulous, and produced a STELLAR high and tasted sooooo beautiful.

Prior to this, I had a few outdoor grows but never appreciated what proper curing does to herb. I never made the connection as to why my bud wasn't as good as it was after it sat. I thought it was in my head that my herb was getting better with time as it aged.

I say all that to say something you already know, that if you enjoyed the smoke with a quick dry on buds that weren't quite ready.... that you will be blown away with some nice properly cured herb.

For sure man I'm thrilled! For a first time harvest it should be a decent one!!

I got 10 blue glass mason jars ready to cure a bunch of this in. Also got a bunch of small green glass dropper bottles for my green dragon tincture too. I still need to figure out what bottles I'm going to actually make the tincture in though. Can't wait until the ball is rolling on all this.

BTW my sweet tooth is forming some cute little leaves. Should be ready for clone by the time I have that closet cleared out and my SCROG built by the end of the month.

Sorry bro just saw your post. I got them from thehydrosource.com. If you just google 250w cfl grow light you'll find em trust me! Not bad heat at all man! Worth a shot if thats your concern for sure.

i wish i could sample your bud dude. it looks so yummy. i just got a 400w hps. i'm planning out building a cab, just a matter of waiting till i can set it up somewhere. till then i'm just reading and learning. grows like yours inspire me to grow my own killer herbs.

That 400w is going to make some amazing bud for you!!

Well I'm still without my camera until tomorrow night. I'm going to chop the hydro girl down Monday afternoon. Took her down to about 80ppms to finish her out until then. Soil is not too far behind and will more than likely be down around Sunday/Monday the following week.

The McDonalds Cup, who knows... That mutant is going to take a while to finish out still but should be interesting to see how she fills out.

Next shots will be of the cooler girl chopped up and getting rdy to be hung!
