North Carolina outdoor 2009

Ol NC boy here stuck in the state with hi in the middle of to O's. I have some White widow I'm growing now and I have som eclones I'm bringing down to put in the NC soil for the summer.

I will be watching this with enthusiasm,

We had some serious flooding after all the rain here yesterday. went out to check on my babies, and the creek had overran coming just feet from them. I'm in a flood plain, but it's a "100 year flood" area. apparently that's as high as the water's gotten in well over a century. shhewwww....

I know this raid is killing me! It lets up for an hour or two and then keeps coming. Been like this for a week. My plants are staying soaked. I've been thinking if I just wait a bit longer it'll quit, but I just now had to finally put a tarp over them because it just started coming down hard again.

I put three, a JTR a Vortex and an Agent Orange in a super soil mix today. Can't wait to see how they react. I'll give it a few days to see if it looks like they look like the mix is too hot, and if they react well then I'm ready to transplant most of the others. It's their first nutrition...when they hit it they should either take off or burn up.

Yeah man, the Rain is killing me!

Everyday now for almost 2 weeks there have been heavy rains and thunderstorms! I can't keep my plants inside or around my house and they are not looking too good

My forecast says it's going to continue raining through the weekend, by that time it may be too late. I'm crossing my fingers but it does not look too good.

it's been extra bad around here, heavy down pours for days on end. my veggie garden took a hardcore beating, I had to dig a ditch to divert the water off of my plants. I havent even been able to check my outdoor MJ, fingers crossed. today is sunny and nice, calling for more rain tomorrow through monday.

I personally don't mind rain but my plants are getting extremely water logged.

My veggie garden is getting washed out too. Actually somewhat of a good thing since I mulched in between my rows and the Nitrogen from the composting bark Burned the Shit out of my peas, collards, and herbs

Best of luck with your gardens. We just went thru a 4 day rain fest here too. Thats another reason I do raised beds, drainage.. Anyone here from Orange County, N.C.? Just asking cuz my family can be traced back there around the time of the War of Independence.

4 days ain't shit. j.k. Now I get to watch the mosquitoes form in the pools of water that can't penetrate this red clay. How's the soil drain in Northern Cali? I heard that shit was rich.

I have a bunch of family in surrounding counties. my european ancestors that came here were Quakers, and that's who settled Orange County as well. So i'm sure my people knew your people in some way.

My soil here is decomposed granite, fair drainage but hard has hell to dig in. Sorry about all the rain your getting, so it's ok to say that the drought is over?

My soil in the city sucks! my vegetable garden needs some serious amending. it grows veggies well, but tends to hold water after becoming rock hard during dry periods. we're located on the sight of an old car garage, so no telling what's in the ground.

It really is not a completely horrible thing because our area was in a bad drought for 6 months or so.

So if I start thinking about it, the rain is coming at a perfect time, right before summer

I am sure my plants will rebound and be MONSTERS by October

all the lakes in my area are at full pond, so def not a bad thing.

That is also another good thing for me.

I am a big trout fisherman and It SUCKS when there is a drought. The water level is way to low for trout to be feeding.
