I'm running 12/12. Was doing 24/0 till I got just past sprout. Got the idea from DaCDaC. The other two are 12/12 from seed. Running 3 6500k 26w CFL, 1 6500k 13w CFL and 1 2700k 26w CFL.

Temp is about 85F with 40% humid with lights on, 80F with lights off.

that is a little hot. 70's are better but you can do only so much. how long have they been on 12/12? i would put them back into veg since they are not showing signs yet and wait for them to recover or else you will deminish your yeild because you stressed your plants and they will be stunted. that is if you have the space to do it. they will also recover faster since they are getting more light and it is allowing them to grow faster

I just recently built a better grow room with more ventilation than the one in the pics. I plan on moving everything over to it tonight, its also a LOT closer to the A/C, close enough where I can add a duct if needed from the A/C to the box.

What lighting do you recommend? 18/6 or 20/4?

I was thinking of moving them to a longer lighting duration since I got more room to work with but was worried that doing so would screw them up. The seedlings have been on 12/12 since they were planted on 10-8. The plant was planted on 9-21 and has been on 12/12 since 10-2.

Btw: thats a bunch for taking the time to reply. :)

i always use 24/0 for veg the longer the light the better i think ,well the plants havent started to bud so they will not have to reveg so they will be fine. the fastest any of my plants showed signs was 3 weeks on 12/12, and the longest youve been budding is almost 2 weeks.

Got 'em moved into the new space that gives me another foot or so of room. Also went back to 24/0, new temps in the new room is around 73F dark and 78F w/lights on.

Seedlings are doing good, the girl is kinda recovering will check on her tomorrow after a full night of light, she just woke up not long ago.

Time for an update!

Plant 1 is doing good, she's the original plant in the group and while I burned her a little bit with nutes (not diluted enough and way too early) and underwatering, she seems to be much happier now. Got her first set of 5-point fan leaves the other day and starting to look real healthy.

I've been busy too, I dedicated my newish growbox to her alone (3x26w 6500k CFL + 1x26w 2700k CFL) and moved my two seedlings to a growbox I made from an old PC. Its currently running only two 26w 6500k CFLs right now, I have more permanent fixtures to place inside but haven't had time to do so. As you can see in the third or forth pic, its from an old gateway 2000. Even the power-button lights up from the light inside. :)

Plant 2 and 3 (the seedlings) are doing good. Plant 2 is coming along nicely looking healthy and growing short and quickly. Plant 3 came out a little tall and a bit deformed (has a runt fan-leaf). Aside from the deformation, it seems fine.

I have all 3 plants back on 24/0 and seem to be doing much better growth wise than when I originally had plant 1 on 24/0. Heat is greatly reduced as well, hangs around 75F in the big grow box and 77F in the pc grow box. I'm also building a much bigger, nicer home for all three when they get bigger. It'll be about 2ft deep by 4ft wide by 6ft tall. Figure it'll be able to handle 3 plants nicely (incase one or two are male) and one plant perfectly.

Untill next time.

Till 'next update. :)

Well its been a damn long and a bit hellish of a week. Thankfully, I got a raise at work (yay) and will actually have some dough to pick up some smoke this weekend (yay!!) since I've been dry for a while now.

As far as the grow goes, plant 1 is doing good. She's a toughie and has held in there well past her sister and even one of the two seedlings from earlier.

As for the seedlings, well, seedling one which was doing wonderful got impaled by a falling light in my PC Grow box. It actually broke both fiber pots. The good seedling was physically burnt by the light and trashed (broken) and the 2nd seedling (the deformed one) managed to get by with just a little burn.

I had to transplant it though, its not doing so hot but hopefully that'll change. We will see I guess. I'm germinating some seeds but so far day 5 w/no luck.

Edit: I know plant 1 is flushed by now from my earlier nute issue but I'm afraid to feed her nutes again even at 1/4 strength (I did 1/2 last time) for fear of burning her since she's my only healthy plant. Any recommendations? Also, I want to clone her, when would be the best time?

dam plant one looks a lot better. that sux about the lights i have done that once befour. you can clone when ever you want atleast i have with 100% sucess rate i would say when plant 1 get 2-3 times the size it is now. you could even start out at 1/8 strength if you are worried. does your soil have nutes in it? and how old is she?

She's 32 days old today, she sprouted from the sand on 9/21. She's also had to deal with a few issues like heat, underwater, nute burn and bad lighting and such. First 4/5 days she dealt with overhead florescent lighting in the room and probably had over 90F temps about half of her life (damn Florida weather). She also was on 24/0 for about 1.5wks then 12/12 for a week then back to 24/0 since.

I was growing her in miracle grow seed starter soil which has nutes, then moved to hydronics potting soil w/30% or so mix of pearlite. She held on to a lot of the MG soil so between that and the pearlite she does have some nutes in the soil. She also hasn't shown any signs of nute deficiency as far as I can tell.

Through all that I'm simply amazed she looks as good as she does. lol

Since its my first indoor though I've learned a HUGE amount from my experiences so far. Each time tweaking my environment for the better giving me MUCH healthier and happier plants next round.

This weekend I'm getting some poly, foxfarm and a few other things from the local hydro store. I'm currently using those emergency walmart blankets and figure poly will help with the heat and also has much better reflection than the blankets (blankets are at about 80% or so, poly is around 90% or so). I'm also getting a better (175CFM) exhaust fan to help with the heat.

I've noticed in the past few cooler days here in FL, she's had much more growth than on hotter days so more around 75/78 she stays, the bigger she gets. I only have about 2ft space to grow in though (3ft total, lights take about 1ft), so I don't want her getting too large which means I'll probably need to switch to flowering quicker than normal, however at her current growth rate, it'll prob still be a couple of months.

Wow, I'm long winded today.. lol

have you thought of scrog since you have a small space. i would hold out on the nutes for now. the weather finally got cooler down here, if the root zone get past a certain temp i think its the high 70's it will slow growth. how tall is she now?

Ya shes a little small for 30ish days old. But looking healthy so I wouldint worry.

As far as nutes go. I would use 1/4. Just watch her close. U wont kill her unless you just KEEP watering with to strong of nutes.

Scrog is kool for small spaces but If you just trying to get through an indoor grow then id switch to 12/12 now. then top when shes 3-4 nodes up.

That will get her through with. TRUST ME! The second grow is a world of difference!

You know what to expect and its just fun, instead of stressful!

Anyway! Just my 2Cents : )
Overall great job though!
