Sun at last!!! They are drinking it in...

Starting to see some swelling, but still have a lot of white pistils sticking straight up. Trichomes look mostly nice and milky. 3 or 4 more weeks to go I'm guessing?

I'm finally getting some sun down here in NW Florida too. Too late for a lot of my plants, but I will take it.

For sure. I am hoping the next 30 days are kind as far as weather goes.

So, I just counted on my grow calender, and from the first day "budlettes" appeared on these plants to today, is only 45 days. Does that seem crazy? If these have another 40 days or more to go I can't even imagine what they will look like.

I'm guessing that the first day I saw any "bud activity" was a week or more after the plant naturally made the switch. Meaning they are technically around day 50-55 of flower. That makes more sense to me, but I don't have a clue how far into flower they are. Obviously not important to when they actually finish, but interesting to a newbie.

Hope weather plays nice as well. Chopped my fruity chronic juice this morning as more rot came overnight. She had a good week left but whatever. it's new england outdoor. shits always early lol.

Question for anyone with experience...

How much does the brutal rain and wind we got last night effect the way your trichomes look?

I just checked my 2 wild girls and all their trichomes are cloudy/amber and some are falling over or have been beheaded. Is this most likely a result of the beating they took from the storm rather then them actually being ready?

Should I give them more time to bounce back and rebuild their "shimmer"? Does it work like that?

As always, any help or input is appreciated!

Have you touched them? as they mature also, the 'stem' will retreat a little and they will start to bend.

Wow, gonna be a blazing hot, sunny Sunday in CT. Could top 90 degrees. One last super sunny blast of energy to power the outdoor ladies to the finish. My whole f***ing yard stinks.

Yup! 85 today here on the south shore in MA. Also our next 4 days are sunny and 80.

I think the plants deserve it after that pounding last week.

Hey Black, how close to finishing are you. I've got a few of my bigger girls that are still plumping up, 90% still white hairs and I know these won't finish until October. I'm about 5 weeks in, started from seed, in the dirt June 1st. I always push up against falls doorstep.

I have the ability to bring my pots in to avoid rain, frost and all the elements that would destroy my garden, so I have the time.....

I am guessing that I am about 3 weeks away. This is my first time growing anything, so that's a very inexperienced guesstimate. My trics are all cloudy, but I also still have some white hairs standing up.

Nice being in pots though, I feel like I can really push them as long as I need to since they are locked up safe everynight out of the elements and under the fans.

It was a beautiful day. The plants are happier then they have been in weeks and the Pats won.
Looking forward to this week. Tons of sun in the forecast!

Looking good bro. I take it you didn't top those plants? I think you mentioned this was your first time, if so pat yourself on the back. I think the failure rate for growing is like 85% kill their plants as people tend to hover over them 20 times a day strangling them with too much water and poisoning them with too many nutrients.

Yea, the last thing I grew was sunflowers in first grade. Never really was the "gardening" type. But now I'm on board 100%. I love growing these plants. I don't smoke, but working with them is ridiculously rewarding.

You are correct about the topping. Since this was my first time around, I wanted a pure baseline education on the plant. I figured crawl/walk/run. There was some light pruning when I thought it needed it.

On my next grow I was thinking about trying a Scrog setup and mainlining.

If you don't smoke, are you growing for someone else? I used to give a lot away to people with medical conditions.

My goal is to have it for friends, family, and guests. Now that it has finally been made legal recreationally, it seems like a good thing to have on hand for when we entertain and someone doesn't want to drink. I always have beer and wine to offer people, so it seems reasonable to have a jar of super high quality bud on the counter also.

I will end up trying it, I'm sure. Havent smoked in years but Im pretty pumped to try it actually. I can't wait to see if there is a difference between what I grow and typical street weed.

Thats awesome that you did that for people. That must have felt amazing to be able to ease someones suffering with something you grew.

If karma is a real thing you should be fucking set.

The difference between the well cared for product of your efforts and street shwag will be night and day. I'd recommend that you only take one hit at first. Not everyone likes the high, just speaking personally it's my preferred way to catch a buzz.

I'm sure I have much to repay in terms of my karmic debt, lol

But that said, it's amazingly rewarding to watch someone who's suffering get relief from Cannabis I grew myself.
