because 19 was meant to spread around the country. Wasnt just about cali. cali's greed took over and ruined it for the nation. far as i know ppl will go the extent to make sure this isnt the outcome next time.

Your argument is fiction-our No on 19 isn't making or breaking your 10 year sentence, if you get caught with less than an ounce in california and your not a medical patient you could get a 100$ ticket. It's not like this will be the last attempt at it. We're on the path to legalization, and it's going pretty fast (compared to a lot of other social changes in history). It's going to be a long drawn out struggle like gay marriage has been IMO. I'm sure there will be more propositions in the future, and each time there will be more dialogue... making it harder for the people who have propaganda-fed bullshit views about the dangers of pot to go on believing the lies. Hopefully next time around someone will come up with a proposition that's less flawed. Even when one passes, there's going to be a long fight ahead: people trying to overturn it, getting a conservative president and having the feds start cracking down, etc..

Not sarcastic really-their was a lot of hard work put in to get this thing voted out, the yes on 19 campaign and media tried to promote this as legalization and that is not what it was through our debates and conversations we were able to get the votes to prevent the creation of new marijuana crimes. Now it is time to celebrate-we are 1 step closer to legalization. 2012 jack's inititative? cchr or whatever its called? it looks better than 19, I would like to see a very simple straight forward prop that clearly legalizes marijuana, and I think it should just lift restrictions on all plants.

it still didnt pass..and im sure most of the growers in Cali voted "no"

all the growers i know were voting no, and im sure all their friends i dont know were voting no.

its all good tho, it will be on the ballot again in another 2 years. i just wish my state would copy cali on the whole MJ thing, who knows whats gonna happen here. there close to taking all the dispensary licenses away, and giving cease and desist letters to the ones that are open..at least you all have dispensaries.

i personally wanted 19 to pass..but i understood the people that didnt want it to pass.

How many of these Californian's do you think have families?
Take them into effect, and nearly 150,000 Californians will be negatively effected from the status quo.

Guess the general public can just drink the most dangerous drug on Earth for the next 2 years, or face unemployment!
