Nice cab Tim
I'll be droppin in to check up on this journal for sure.

I say if you wanna do hydro and scrog I've tried a few methods and find flood and drain works great. You can make your own table to fit the dimensions of your cab.
Easy to manage and works great when you need to change the reservoir just slide it on out. For my scrog I used chicken fence and PVC and love it, not an inch in my tent wasted. Another plus is I can disassemble it to travel or store anytime.

Whatever you decide to do save me a seat when the show get started.

Today I am going to get the interior paint done, I have some final adjustments to complete on the door lock and latches just for final fit , the doors need to rest on the weather stripping with common pressure to light seal . this will also air seal the doors so all the air flow will be thru the passive 4" intake at the bottom and out the 6" fan system in the top, that darn fan and filter are HUGE, in the top of the box, I knew they were going to be large, it just kinda took me off base when I was actually holding the parts up in the top, now I am thinking I may bolt the fan to the ceiling instead of hanging it to gain that 2 or 3 inches, the fan is well balanced and quiet with the speed controller, so hopefully I wont get any hum thru the box, there isnt any insulation in this thing so any noise transfered to the wood will probabaly resinate like a drum sorrta, , here is a picture of the fan/filter assembly I went withIMG_7412.JPG

I don't really see hydro as a necessity unless you have masses of space for huge ass trees. Yeah it will speed up your time from seed to harvest but I find hydro grown plants get tall and stretchy quick and hight is always an issue in cabinets especially with carbon filters etc.. taking up headroom
I am very temped to run a 2 plant soil, your so right about stealth, whats more quiet than soil, PLUS I dont want to do anything to piss the wife off, bless her heart she let me put the box in the bedroom, the last thing I need is for her to hear it or, for me to make a HUGE mess spilling a hydro res on the floor between the box and the bathroom/sink, I still have time to consider both options, but I have to make up my mind soon. the thing that bothers me is in soil forums, the cost of the fox farms ocean or the coco is like 30 bucks a bag or more, is there cheaper soil that I can use,, do you have a recomendation a bag that wont break the bank and fill 2 average pots?,

Lol I keep trying to talk my wife into letting use our walkin closet. But she won't budge.
My Wife changed her mind 2 months ago, when I stopped drinking booze cold turkey and went back to Pot, Alcohol and me were a bad combo, but I was trying to be a good father,, yaddee yaddee,, Well after the first couple of weeks, She feel in love with me again, I am that cool nice guy she meet all those years ago, laid back, my anger is gone, my mild depression vanished, my smile returned, She completely agrees with me that this stuff is more than a high, for me it truely is a medicine, and I was going to put the wardrobe grow box out in the cold barn, but she came to me a few weeks ago and asked if I wanted to put it next to my side of the bed, SHOCKER!!,

even tough I have purchased everything and built a single plant flood drain with a pair of 3.5 gallon buckets, I even purchased the digital ph and PPM testers, and a fish tank heater ( that was when the box was going to out in the cold barn), I have decided to use soil,

I am gladly accepting suggestions for soil, hopefully soil that can be purchased in ready to go bags at local building supply places such as lowes or home depot, also, what size growing container should I use for a 2 plant box,, 3 gallon? I saw some good square ones at home depot the other day, , thanks for the replies

what size are the holes / openings in your chicken fence?, I may still have some chicken fencing out by my shed from when the kids had chickens back in the day. and do you just screw it to the top of the pvc frame or?

I'm not sure what soil is available able in Australia at a good price mate $30 seems a lot though it's only £15-£20 max per 50l sack over here for coco and really high quality soil and although it's illegal to grow here there's hydro shops everywhere here in the uk

I'm not sure what's there locally but I try to find soil with as little nutes as possible since I like to use a feeding schedule.

I never go out looking for pots by litre or gallon I always go by whatever's a min of 10" deep and whatever cm width will squeeze into my floor space for however many plants I intend to grow. out of my 6 girls in the led grow 3 are in 2.6 gallon pots and 3 are in 2.4 gallon pots I did intend to use 6 of the 2.6 gallon pots but they where 5mm too wide for me to use all 6 of them they would have hit the door. for my two plant scrog I'm looking for 2x square pots with up to 44cm x 44cm width that's the widest I can fit in my cabinet if your wardrobe is 1m wide by 0.5m deep on the outside you can go up to that size too I have no idea how much that will take in litres or gallons of soil but I'll soon find out when my girls are ready in a couple weeks and I can test it out
