one plant per light!

i was wondering how many people on here are growing or have grown a plant with a light all to it's self.


i currently have a space bomb plant that i had used as a mother sitting under a 600w hps.

usually once they get to a certain size i will take a cutting then kill the plant and start again, i have no need for thousands of cuttings so i figured it would be more efficient to just flower her out than throw her away. normally i don't like to flower mother plants as the growth can be very unpredictable but this space bomb is the smartest plant i have grown, it knows where and how to grow so requires very little human input to produce well.


if anyone with any experience doing so could post some pics and tips or general pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

i doubt i will even pull .5 grams per watt with this strain but even if i only get 8oz it will bonus for me as i haven't had any space bomb for a while, this is purely head stash stuff.




she is looking very sleepy at the minute, i actually disturbed her dark period for a few seconds but she'll be ok.

So did u say that you take a clone then kill the mother? I still dont fully understand you would do that but ok.

That's me 1 @ the time. 2 is a better # for me.
I grow 12x12fs & love it,just need enough for me not to have to go out & buy.
It's illegal to kill a plant,I would never think of doing something like that,but it's yours.
My space is small,but I've tried several numbers up to 6 then I have to keep rotating them.
I can take 1 plant & fill my space if I train it,that's probably the best
way for me to go.

mine & I'm going back there now & start 2 more & if these 2 going now don't pick up soon
I'll kill 'em. T he slowest part for me is from germ to veg,my memory has gotten so bad

I fucked up and killed a couple recently, had a hermie and a male. I now have one girl under a 600 HPS, but it's only been solo for a couple weeks.

i only kill mother plants when i am done with them, not after every batch of cuttings ( sometimes i will have a mother plant for 5-6 rounds of cuttings, growing in tents restricts how big i can let the plants get).

i have had the plant for nearly 8 months now, i had other plants in there with it but they were shaded by this one. i took some cuttings that i can put in my cfl tent and then use this tent for flowering a big girl out.

i don't want that many clones, i just don't have the space to keep mothers of this size of all of my strains so i keep them in various stages and tend to only take cuts from my favourite mother plant.

Let the life cycle happen... Mom.... Clones... Flower mom ...while clones veg, the mom buds... When she's done the clones become moms and so on

this is my plan once i get into a different place. want whatever flavor i happen to enjoy the most at the time under the 1 400 in a scrog and in my normal flower area just keep my rotation.

Scrog your plant Super Cropping wont be easy but your get amazing results. And get Yo Yo' s to carry your colas when they start lending down.

four and a bit weeks 12/12, starting to get really sticky

Looks nice. The only other thing would have been to replant that momma in a fiber bag 20 gallon or 40 gallon of soil. Then sit it up on milk crates for great air flow.
Plant might have yielded huge.
A friend that does 1K hps a plant in 20 gallon pots has sick results.
Really outstanding results.
Like "Damn" results.
Buds bigger than my legs in width results.

tip o the day: take bud shots with lights out instead of turning lights on to take the shot, you'll get a much better photo using your flash, just take a few to ensure you get a good shot.

yeah i regret not putting her in a bigger pot before flowering, she is really root bound.

this grow wasn't planned at all it just kind of happened. it'll make a nice christmas tree though.

I cant believe you got a plant to that size in a pot that small.Props to you.You have to be feeding and flushing her everyday..That plant has to drink the contents of that pot several times a day.
Im a fan of TGA gear,I like the taste of the space bomb but i dont like the stone of it.Beautiful job.
