They are one in the same company, they share secrets with each other and scott's has a deal with monsanto to sell their proprietary products such as round up. They been in business together since the 1990's , if you are funding one of them you are helping promote and fund the other.
Oh trust me here. I farm, I hate Monsatan for more reasons then you fella's!

But boycotting them by not using something you like or want to use.....Only hurts you in the end....Like I said, they might be in bed with each other on something but, one does own or belong to, the other!

Here then, I like the Flora Nova series by GH too......Do you hate me more now?

If you feel you have to boycott.....Just like if it works for you? DO IT! I hate AN! I won't use it...my choice!

BUT, if it works for you? By all means, use it!

I am amazed at some of the things I've seen done with KIND! I'm still going to see what I can do with it!

I don't use bottled nutrients i grow organically, and i don't support monsanto or any of these shady nutrient companies.

I have been back to 100% organic water only soils for what? 4-5 years again....Sometimes I just have to "play" with some new toys now and then...

I'm not going over to it!
I'll play with it in like 4 pots under 1 light.....something about it's results scream at me to play with it.....sigh,,a weakness I guess..

I get it that people prefer organic and don't use bottled nutrients but if that's the case why even click on a thread about bottled nutrients in the first place ...

Unless you live out in a shack like old Ted "the unibomber" Kaczynski, then unfortunately you are in fact supporting one of many shady ass corporations.

Used CNS-17 for years, not tried the kind formula yet and i doubt i will at $16+ for a quart for a 3 part. Hydroplex on the other hand is my go to bloom booster.

Is there a soil feed schedule available for Botanicare other than hydro and coco that you are aware of?
I have not looked lately but the soil/ coco schedule worked for me at about half strength and watered with nutes every other time. Bit more for big hungry plants.

I have gone back to Pure Blend Pro for the one shot simplicity.

11 days later from my post #35........medium fertilizer schedule. For each gallon of r.o. water, 10 ml Pure Blend Pro (50/50 mix veg and bloom), a small splash of floralicious, 10ml Cal/Mag, Z7 enzyme, 5ml Pure Blend Tea and a splash of Hydroplex (bloom enhancer). pH to 6.5. Very healthy crop........oh yeah, day 32 in flowering.

Nice. I was worried about using more then 5ml of calmag due to it have N in it. Your plants look so healthy maybe I will bump my girls up to 7ml as I used 10ml PBP and 5ml Lq K with 2ml Silica 2ml hydro and 2ml rhyzo. I'm using RO as well.

I used CNS17 for a long time
good product

this is my schedule from seed to finish
RO water
Silica Blast 5ml a gal
CNS17 Grow 15ml gal
Pure Blend Tea 5ml gal
Sweet Raw 4ml per gal
week 3-4 hydroplex 2ml gal
really you can grow with just CNS at 20ml gal

but the real secret for good results is the sweet raw (not the flavored kind!!)

IMO
the extra Magnesium and especially Sulfur is what drives the taste and smell
I actually flush with that because it is pretty much the same as AN's Final Flush or now Flawless Finish

Reverse Osmosis strips the calcium and magnesium right out of the water so I've found 10ml necessary early in veg and flowering too. I tend to cut back a bit around now- week 5. I watch my plants carefully and any tacoing of the leaves tells me to bump it back up a bit. I stop totally at least 2 weeks before harvest.....

I used to use Sweet Raw and found Grandma's Molasses was basically the same thing with equal results at a cheaper price.

  • I have ran many strains and have never found a need for Calmg+
as for molasses
I would never run that in a hydro rez

I run sweet because it is a boost of Sulfur and Magnesium along with b vits and simple sugars

those simple sugars are refined
while molasses reeks havoc on the rez and drip system

I would just use Epsom but I like the chelates in the sweet

but again botanicare is simple and easy to use and I never have to ph anything
my rez stays for up to 3 weeks in my Drip to Waste

Going to bump them up. I'm sure they need it. Bontanicare rep told me I should run 7ml with RO. Worst that happens I need to flush and she bounces back stronger.

really you can grow with just CNS at 20ml gal
Absolutely just the cns17 usually works killer!
With all my buddies setups around the bay area and using their tap water, 15ml/gal(around 1.7-1.8EC) is perfect, nothing else. When I was using it, I ended up adding a little calmag though(in coco), after they ditched the soil/coco formula. I have extremely soft water where i'm at. I'm surprised you haven't fallen short of either Ca or Mg seeing that you're starting with RO. Interesting. Prob not in coco?

Grow for veg and through stretch in bloom.
Bloom for weeks 3-6.
Ripe for last few weeks.
Easy fuckin peasy.

Fucking killed it with the stuff, but i'm mostly hydro right now and the white snot clogs shit up:-( so I'm not using the stuff right now or i prob would be.
