Hey mate, just another Kiwi here.

This season seems to be earlier this year. Most of my sativas have shown sex already! and they're pure satis too which is out of it.
I have 2 x Ace seeds Malawi clones, 3 x Cannabiogen Panama regular(2 confirmed females) and a Uzbeki indica hashplant from Cannabiogen also.

DSC01385.jpg Malawi 6ft tall topped 3 times, exactly 2 months in the ground. I saw a couple of hairs here and there at the beginning of the month.
DSC01392.jpgPanama 2 months veg, 5'5". topped 2 times and have suffered a seriously bad vine hopper infestation but are slower recovering with a pesticide and neem oil.
DSC01386.jpgUzbeki/Tashkenti. My only plant properly into flower.

What's your latitude mate? the higher up you go in aussie the earlier flowering because the days get shorter earlier than lower latitudes like Tasmania.

Canadian genetics can flower super quickly too, some of them finish in February!. What's your strain bro? indi or sati?, I personally think every aussie grower should be growing that crazy Mullumbimby Madness sativa, the original plants could yield up to 15 lbs and grow 20ft+.

Hey craykiwi, welcome mate. Those are some nice plants and strains.
I am growing out 4 strains. Dinachem, rugburn og, tangerine kush, and one bagseed.
the tangie kush and bagseed are more sativa dom and the rugburn and dinachem are
more indica dom. Yeh starting to think I'm having smoke at the end of this month, which is fantastic!
I'm at 35.3S, 149.E so I'm much further south, I still can't believe my indices hit flower at Christmas
never seen that before, but then again I never grew outdoors before only mates who have but they always
staryed flower late jan to mid feb, as I said before no complaints here lol.an I wish I could grow a 20
footer in my backyard lol!
cheers dude

Cheers mate.
Good to have some indica and sativa in the same garden

What strain is flowering early?. Yeah mid jan to mid feb is the usual down here too. I'm higher up in my country at 37.4, not too far away from your lat.
Chuck a pic up of the strain you think is going to finish at the end of the month, never want to finish too early outside unless you have to. Plus indicas are better matured longer, sucks when you have a heavy indica strain harvested early with clear/cloudy trichs because of the weather. Looks like I won't be getting any outdoor smoke dried before april.

Imagine the plants we could grow if it were legal, I think my Malawis will still get to 12ft though. Hope to get at least a pound or 2.
Most my plants wont even have proper flower til early march! looking at a late april/early may harvest for the sativas.

When can you grow til up there? we rarely get frosts here.

Thanks mate, sorry I haven't been round for a bit, the rugburn og, and the dinafem are the early flowering strains.
i only said late fen according to when I first saw flower in late December, if it takes till middle or late march that's all the better, they are bulking now so I'd still give it another 2-4 weeks. Trichomes are just now beginning to emerge and look like little shrooms and the stink is getting stinkier lol. I'll send some pics

Just a update, my buds are looking so good and smelling so sweet I wanna roll around in em lol.
if I touch one the smell lingers for about five minutes. My dinachem is fucking amazing I may get
the fattest hairiest buds I've ever seen and the hairs are white as at the moment, she just stinks
and her buds run the whole stem. I'll say middle of March and I'll start harvesting them all me thinks

Only put out fem seeds! There's so many cowboys on this site that have no idea
and just spew utter crap. But I'd love to see how yours go!

Sorry about my earlier comment but I just got off a thread where this guy was telling people to cure at 75%
relative humidity and they should have dirt brown buds for the best smoke. If my buds turned brown I'd be pretty
disappointed and angry at the person who gave me the advice and be doubtful of others advice.
That sorta crap just gets up my nose,
my attitude is if you don't know don't say anything or go do some research before you open yer trap.
that dudes just gonna make folks get moldy weed, which isn't cool at all! I know everyone likes to be helpful
and give advice but I think that discretion is better if your not sure.

the hermie producing female seeds thing is false. If you force a female plant to hermie by stressing it out and collect the pollen and pollinate another female then you should have all female seeds. Im quite sure anyway never tried myself, the other way is with colloidal silver. good luck in the final stage !

I love that whole colloidal silver technique, I've gotta have a go one day.
ive read up on it a bit and it's fascinating to me.
I don't know the origins but I'll assume it wasn't cannabis and was adopted by the industry.
also just putting it out there, I was told never to smoke a treated bud (colloidal silver)
I wouldn't anyways but I know there's some people who might after harvest.
