Don't try bro, they aren't worth your time, they use untested old tech and try to hype it up, if you say something about it them and their goon squad will rage and troll you. They still haven't posted test results of those quantum boards from more than 12 inches away, still have no certs, they just trying to make money off noobs, and over charge the shit out of them. Those "commerical greenhouse" lights are a HUGE joke, better have those fuckers right on the plants, perfect for blocking out the sun. From what i seen , their lights are mostly for small hobby micro growers and dumb asses that don't know better.

I did say it's grown in Colorado didn't I ? I think the ultra low humidity has a negative affect on peoples grows. I was there 5 days and I thought I was gonna shrivel up and die.

Dude I am not from CO and while I have seen decent stuff here and there in the state I have seen some pretty bad garbage sold as well. You know as well as I do genetics plays the biggest role in quality. I don't even know what strain that is so stop trying to beat me up. Well there are grow journals going now so when they are done if they suck I will take your ridicule like a man..... Until then though how about you save judgement until the verdict is in ??????

Not trying to beat you up, just trying to show you that you have a shitload of room for improvement before you can even CONSIDER lighting to be so important in your grow, and honestly 90% of what i have seen in this section for grows is pathetic, that guy puff is one of the very few growers on this section i think grows good weed, you are not a good grower, and genetics don't make your plant look like shit like that, that's from shitty growing. As much as we don't get along greengene's is another person that knows how to grow shit so i respect his skills, you on the other hand have NEVER shown anything remotely impressive when it comes to buds.

Also i'd like to say please stop Repping CO GROWN buds, because you are giving us CO growers a bad rep for growing schwag.

I mostly like staying "in the know" with technology... I'm an IT guy so it's part of my nature. So I'm usually drawn to comparative threads like these where I might find info or data to use later on down the road in my own grow space. I was being a little dramatic, but man, it seems to have gotten worse over the last year or so. Or maybe it's just these LED threads that bring it out more?

There's a ton of people on the LED section here that don't even grow weed or just started growing within the last year or two, and when someone chimes in they usually get drown out by noobs/non - growers . There's also a ton of name calling and mud throwing here .Try the indoor section, way more educated people with actual grows and not all hypothetical shit. Good luck.

I'm running several different types of LED and making comparisons between them. I've long since left the world of HID behind, for greener pastures of better spectrum, more efficiency and better light distribution.

The open-source DIY tone of these LED threads has been sullied a bit. You guys who now own companies building lights, dudes, who are now advertisers here, it doesn't look good when you start throwing shit at each other. That's not professional. I don't think you are marketing well by doing that.

Besides if you run the numbers it's apparent that MOST (not all) people might as well just buy CMH 315 or DE HPS 6/750 Flex complete fixtures. That is your real competition, not each-other. Since you are small-scale builders, with many of you still involved somehow in DIY - and lots of tech in common - you would be better off by continuing the open-source spirit and contrasting data with each-other, here on these forums. That's what lent you credibility in the first place. As builders and advertisers you should compete on the level playing field of who offers better build-quality, warranty, service, customization, parts binning, etc.

I'm not saying it's easy, but am I wrong?

It's the same shit when somebody asks for decent LED bulbs in a microgrow.
He'll be bombarbed by expensive/overkill COB panels.

And CMH/DE HPS are indeed great options, and I try to recommend them when somebody is growing in something more than 2x2.
But often people just want led because "muh efficiency" while you can just get more yield by buying a 2nd DE HPS fixture.
And since weed is high value, electricity costs aren't a big factor. (if you're selling it/bigger area) And if you're growing in more than 2x2 it's not just for personal consumption unless you're a hardcore addict.
