Paradise White Berry

Strain: White Berry (Paradise)

Growth: Good, vigorous plant with a VERY indica profile

Nutes: Jack's Classic All Purpose and Blossom Booster, and Botanicare Cal/Mag

Yield: 6 oz dried and cured bud

Bag Appeal: 8-10

Smell: Has a smell similar to Juniper with a creamy vanilla note and a hint of lemon.

Taste: Taste is similar to smell. Very smoothe.

The High: The high is very clear and functional, not what I expected from a mostly indica plant.

Comments: I waited until the 3rd run was complete before doing a report on this one. At first, it wasn't one of my favorites but has grown on me over the last few months. It's EXTREMELY dense! Denser than anything else in my garden. You almost have to have a grinder for this one, especially if you smoke joints. IMO it smells nothing like berries, although the Juniper smell and taste will let you know that this strain is appropriately named. I purchased a 5 pack of feminized beans and started only 1 plant. I've been cloning this one and plan on doing more in the future in hopes of getting something with a little more potency. IMO, this is the one thing it seems to be lacking in. Not that it doesn't do the job, it does, but doesn't have the punch that my other strains have. It also doens't have the coating of frost I was expecting. The bag appeal and bud structure is incredible and the only thing preventing it from having a 10/10 bag appeal is the relative lack of trichomes. All in all, I would recommend this strain. It's a very good daytime smoke, as it doesn't make you all stupid and anchored to your couch! lol! :joint:

I don't keep mothers. I take cuttings right before I flip them. :leaf:
great job brotha! great report ... your description sounds quite unique as far as flavor and smell compared to the whiteberry i grew out and the "berry perfume" smell alot of others report. the buds however look very similar..... what was your technique? did you do any training or topping?
I also agree with you that it's not the most spectacular smoke.... I LOVED growing it. it was easy to grow, good yield, great bag appeal.. the smoke was just average though... great report. rep.

Thank you my friend! I found that it had a very nice, unique smell and flavor, nothing like I expected. I grew in FFOF soil in #3 nursery pots with Jack's Classic nutes. It was very easy to grow and I'll probably keep it around for a while. I topped once and had to use bamboo stakes starting at about week 6 because the buds are so dense and heavy that all the colas would just flop over. lol! It's a gorgeous plant and has really great bag appeal and a really nice smell and taste. Unfortunately, the cannabinoid profile just doesn't seem to suit me all that much. It is growing on me though.:weed:

Heya doc how's it going. Thanks for the report, I was gifted a couple of WB seeds (I'll check and see if they came from Paradise). I have plenty of headstash strains so I'll be looking at this one to see if it's worthwhile to add as another commercial strain or not. It would have to have a short flower and above average yeild and above average smoke. Pics that I remember seeing of this girl from the gifter (I'm sure you know him) were frosty as all fuk and smelled of white cake I think he said. The breeders description said a pretty short flower time like 7-8 weeks.

Just going through strains these days, after this one I'll only have about 40 to go lol. Also started with the Whiteberry were some Bubba Kush x Master Kush which were from the same person and just breaking soil now are 10 Cindy 99 f4 pineapple pheno seeds that were gifted recently.

Later man have a good one!

Thanks my friend! IMO, WB would make a great commercial strain. Everyone that I've shared it with has raved about it (maybe they are just being polite. lol!). Overall, I think it's a good strain, just not what I expected based on smoke reports and the research I've done. I had never grown out any feminized beans before and wanted to give Paradise genetics a try. It's easy to grow , a quick finisher and yields pretty good. I take it to 63 days to give it a little extra kick but it could definitely come down at 56 days with no problems. I have 4 beans left so I will probably grow out a couple more to see if I can get a better keeper. It's frosty, just not as frosty as I expected based on descriptions (and it's not even close to my frostiest strain;-)). I would recommend this one because it's definitely good smoke but not quite headstash quality IMO. :weed:

jacks classics huh... I have some of that I use to use it and switched to GH then to BC. I have seen you all over RIU for some time now and you make a lot of good posts. I am just wondering though..have you experimented with other nutes? What are your reasons for using jacks? I mean I know its cheap and all but is it really the best? just seems to easy... a one part JC and calmag? No sweetener? No root formulas?B1? kelp? or nodda Have I just been buying all these nutes for fun!!? well my plants seem to love me but by wallet doesnt lol

I had a go at Whiteberry a few years back, it was done all organically, Fimmed, LSted, vegged for a few months. Had great taste, smell, and I enjoyed the buzz alot. Had colas the size of my arms. Yielded like crazy.

I guess it comes down to personal preference. I've tried numerous ferts, boosters, soils, etc. Just about every major brand of nute; GH 3 part, Advanced, FF, Botanicare, Dyna-Gro.........probably a few more I forgot to mention as well. I don't really find that any one nute drastically outperforms the other. I have my personal favorites that I feel give ME the results I want. Jack's Classic, Fox Farms, and Dyna-Gro (usually for soilless) and I still occasionally bust out the GH 3 part. I like Jack's because it gives me good yields and keeps my plants healthy. I don't normally have to deal with deficiencies. One of the downsides of Jack's is the lack of Ca and Mg, but I supplement with Cal/Mag anyways, so that isn't normally a problem. My soil already contains a gang of organic goodies such as kelp, humic acid, mycorhyzae, fish meal, guano, worm castings, etc. As for boosters and such? I'm not a big fan. I've not seen a dramatic difference with products like Gravity, Bushmaster, or Purple Maxx. I like simplicity, it makes my chores in the garden easier. I run 2 companies and don't have unlimited time to spend gardening like I'd like so I do what I need to. I DO like Great White. I've seen increased initial vigor and quicker rooting with clones. I also use it at each transplant. It contains B1 so my plants get a little of it (not sure if it makes a huge difference or not). I don't care for superthrive although it does seem to help my clones root a little quicker as well. Sweeteners? I've tried molasses and sucanat. I like sucanat better because it's not near as messy and sticky as molasses. I use it occasionally but don't notice a dramatic difference with it either. My plants are always nice and healthy though.:weed:

Wow thats awesome I just made a mix in a veg tub of JC. I do use dwc but we will see how it goes thats why I started on a vegger. But its so much cheaper than everything else I have got to start experimenting with it now. You never notice any burning issues or what is you mix per gal? I only ask because their ratios are so high for JC. your plants look great BTW. you roc doc.

I'm not sure JC would be the best way to go in DWC. It's a soil fert so it's not complete like most hydro ferts so you may end up with a deficiency or 2. J.R. Peters does make a hydro fert though. :bigjoint:

http://www.jrpeters.com/Products/Hydroponics.html

I've not had any burning issues. I've never gone over 1 tsp./gal. I usually work my way up slowly to 1/2 tsp./gal in veg and once they hit flowering I'm usually using close to a tsp/gal. The ratios are a little high but if you start slowly you should be good. Some plants may do better with it than others (as with any fert), but I am VERY happy with the results. Here is a little more bud porn for ya!:weed:
