Not really. If there is a state issue it has to go through federal courts and a vote from all states to change a law within that state and the state member has to raise the issue to federal pollitions and that issue has to be voted on by area members first.. It's extremely confusing. There are small differences in criminal law e.g one state might make any amount of cannabis a criminal offence but not in another none the less it will still be illegal across all states. Gun laws are strictly equal across the board except for Mag sises..edit we do have a aboriginal territory with some old aboriginal laws but none the less laws still apply but if an aboriginal elder brings up an issue I'm court that needs to be dealt with by aboriginal law he may be granted the right to make the punishment eg one aboriginal raped a child not so long ago and it ended up in aboriginal law oldate had 3 spears thrown at him without access to medical help afterwards.
