PH question - DWC - 5 Gallon Rez

So I went out of town for 7 days and when I returned the PH on one of my plants was at 4.0 -4.5. I quickly completed a water change back to 6.0. Now it appears the plant is being stressed. The 4.0 PH range locks out Calcium and Magnesium until about 5.3. Does anyone now how long my girl will take to pull out of the lockout?? See the attached pics. Comments, critisicm and recommendations are encouraged. Thanks RIU!!

organic nutes will take much longer to become available due to bonds made between certain elements. As loong as your using chem nutes, and your pH is right, your nutes will be available right away.
check pH daily. DWC is not a method to walk away from for a week, if you do, expect problems.
Also, less nitrogen will increase your bud growth...

at 4.0 you look out pretty much everything. you should lower your PH a bit to 5.8 and wait.

DONT EVER GO WITH HANNA!. Oaktons and Bluelabs are the best, especially the later as I've been recommended on this forum

Hey I got a Hanna!!!! Hannas are a bitch sometimes actually mine works great you just have to use only their products and always store your probe in their storage solution. My probes kept lasting only one grow until I started storing them in the storage solution.

In response to the plant problem the problem is already being corrected the nutrients are being munched on by the roots just the leaves never come back no matter what medium you grow in once they burn or get spots those spots stay so if it's bothering you that much just pluck it. Thats one thing I hated about DWC was the maintenance you literally have to check on them daily.

I hear you loud and clear buddy .. I was always replacing probes in my Hanna Gro-check they pretty much lasted only 1 grow after the old grow check went out I bought a brand new one ( I like them a lot) same thing 1 grow and the probe was done. So I said " fuck it I'll buy this dumb bottle of storage solution and now after every use i rinse and put the probe back into the storage solution bottle to sit until its ready for use again. So far I made it 3 grows!! I hear the same thing from some seasoned growers so I know how bad they break... Good meters just probes dont last long. I will battle your dead probes versus my box of dead probes..lol Happy Growing dude.

You're are doing DWC you need to keep that water 5.5 - 6.0 what you want to do is set it at 5.5 and leave it like that and let the PH climb up to 6.3 or so, that way your plant is absorbing nutes, different nutrients get taken in at different PH ranges. If you dont use the required PH your roots wont take in any of the nutrients and you will be facing "nutrient lock out " your plant will yellow and die.

Now I think about it... my ph has been dropping, is that normal? If that is the case, should I set it high and let it drop to 5.5? + rep btw... thanks.

If your PH is dropping, that could be caused by a few different things. You should check your roots for any signs of rot. If they all still look nice and healthy, then you possibly are feeding them too much! If the plants are using up more water than nutrients, your PH will drop!
