Pissed off an frustrated.... everytime i start my DWC

i had ph problems and temp problems in my resivor b4. I was using tap water with some water conditioner to remove chlorine chloramine and ammonia. So I switched to using store bought distilled water and I also use technaflora nutes and my ph is 6.0 now always. The nutes i use buffer the ph to 6. Just a suggestion.

Also, I don't even use a medium with my grow. I use the neoprene inserts. Works great for me. Your res should really be 70-78 degrees for the nutes to be delivered right to the plants.

You tried using clones instead of a seed yet?

Are you always using the same containers for growing? If you are, I'd suggest sterilizing everything with a bleach solution to ensure there is no left over bacteria from previous grows. The bleach solution doesn't have to be super potent, just one cap full to a 4L ice cream pail is a sufficient sterilization solution. Once sterilized rinse throughly with hot water and allow everything to "air dry" Don't towel anything as this may re-introduce bacteria to the containers from the towel.

they are the same containers. i used dish soap to clean them. i didnt let them air dry i used those kleenex paper towers to dry them.

ill try to let them air dry next time. figured dish soap is ok.. wasnt anti-bacterial tho.

they hydroton i use is also reused. but i boiler the hydroton to kill any bacteria.

maybe thats the issue.... wat you guys think?

i would never ever try to towel dry anything....or kleenex anything for that matter
