i need some help from you guys. I've got 3 bomb berry plants, 2 big bud and 1 northern lights that have taken quite a hit. my timer went on the fritz while i was away and didn't water plants for at least a day. They also grew a lot and the light needed to be raised from about 12" back to 23-24." Here's a pic of some of the worst damage on one of the bomb berry

As soon as i got in, the res was about 1/3 full, PH @ 7 and ppm shot up from 1100-1400+ I've refilled the res, ppm back to 1000, and ph set at about 5.6 (it'll rise in like 2 days to 6) and cut off a lot of the lower leaves that were yellowing and damaged. DID I DO THE RIGHT THING?!?

Setup is as follows
6 plants 2x2 tray
400w MH
I've been using AN's Micro ever since about 1-2 weeks from sprouting (i just found out today that the sales guy lied to me about using these one at a time. I've had the "Grow" sitting here not being used one bit. ) I really need to learn how to use this stuff correctly so if anyone has any exp. with Advanced Nutrients, let me know! I've been having a hunch that what i'm really experiencing could also be a deficiency from only using micro. I also didn't know if the light being so low (again like 12"-14") would've had an effect w/ lack of water.

the user phillipchristian knows his shit about AN. i imagine it works like any other nute in the proper dosage its effective, i would reduce from 1000pm honestly those plants look pretty fried, i would give them about a 1/3 nutes and some time to recover. move the light back you.. said that...welll it sounds like your on the right track. lucky you caught them in time.

poly im having more problems...i noticed my res water was oddly cloudy, so i lifted the net cup and it looked like my roots were dipped in snot. all i knew to do was put hydrogen peroxcide in there. it helped take out the brown color, but the roots are still slimey. if it isnt better by tommorrw, im going to change the res water and scrub everything, and try again. if that doesnt work...guess ill be a soil grower. any ideas that can help me out?

dreaded root slime what kind of h2o2 you use? yeah your gonna have to change the res. that is normal though, or should i say a common problem. in the DWC section under hydroponics there is a nice thread about breeding beneficial organisms to help deal with the root slime

Hey Poly, I went out and looked at the roots today. They are not root bound. I gave them a good flushing. I am really about ready to pull my hair out and yank them out of the tent to put something in its place. I know that I should not give up, but I am at my wits end.2012-04-08 01.32.06.jpg2012-04-08 01.33.16.jpg2012-04-08 01.35.18.jpgEven the new leaves are curled down. Ugggggg I really appreciate the help poly.

well im sure the bicks are contributing now that you mention it. maybe the dew in the mornings is burning the leaves

seems to me like it might just be random folded down is usualy a sign of over watering, but sometimes it can be because the water is cold. do water temps fluctuate much?
