image.jpeg Hi everybody hope somebody can give me some help I am currently growing six blue cheese cuttings in RDWC they have been in there for five weeks now under 18 hours of light and still seem really slow my P H is stable at 5.8 and my EC level is now at 0.5 my room temps were a little high at 30 for the first three weeks but I have now got that sorted and never goes higher than 28 my water temps always between 19 -20 degrees does anybody have any ideas why these are not bushes yet thanks

Nice set up. Try lowering the light, getting better/bigger light and run the light for 24 hrs for a while.

The thing is if I lower the light it doesn't spread to all the plants as I can't move them closer to each other I do have another 600w to go up which I really wanna turn on but it will just raise my temps again up to like 32 so I'm pretty stuck any more ideas ????

I have got two oscillating fans inside the tent my intake and is coming from outside so when it's hot outside it warms up my tent unfortunately and I already have one 600 W in the tent at the moment but would like to bump that up to 1200

Yeah, they are definitely not where I'd expect them at 5 weeks, but they do look healthy. Have they stalled out recently or just been slow the whole time?

Thanks forgetting back to me I hate to say it but they are actually six weeks old now and have not grown much since that last photo I added and yes they have always been slow from the start just really don't know what's going on as everything is in check. I am now wondering maybe my nutrient level is to weak ?

You never mentioned the lighting. I would expect them to be growing 2 inches a day at this point. They look so healthy in your picture that I wouldn't have guessed you're having problems if you didn't mention how long they've been in veg.

Yes they do look very healthy which they always have done they are currently under 600 W of metal halide and they have now been in village for six weeks watch EC level would you recommend they should be having at this time

The fact that your PH is stable might indicate poor nutrient uptake. Have you peaked at the roots? If they look OK, you could bump the nutes one way or another. Which way, I'd wait for a real DWC expert to say. I'd lean towards higher since you've got nothing to lose this far into veg. What's the size of your space? I would think 600W for 6 plants would be adequate.

I think you have everything too perfect for the plants to grow, lol. Your space and plants look perfect and your PH, water temp, and EC seem right on.

Yes my P H is very stable sometimes I do not have to adjust it for a whole week before I do a nutrient change which is weekly and I hope a DWC pro chimes in and helps me but I do check my EC level daily and it rarely moves either which is worrying so maybe they are not eating the nutrients saying that they are a dark green colour which indicates they are not starved of nutrients and also I have not been getting leaf tip burn as from over fertilising also the roots look healthy I think I will post a pic later of them and my tent is 2meter x 1.2 meter thanks

image.jpeg The roots they are a little bit of a tan/brown color due to the nutrient stain I think I don't think it's root rot as the plants are very healthy

Your picture doesn't provide enough detail when I zoom in but it looks like it could be more than just nute stain up towards the top of the root structure where those roots are clumped together and lack hairs. You could have a case of the plant spending it's energy maintaining an adequate root structure in the face of rot and hence the slow/no growth mode. The plants look so healthy right now though, maybe not. I think you'll know in another week for sure.

Yes that does sound fees able so you think it could of had a touch of root rot come and it is now doing all it can to fight off instead of growing I do use pythoff all the time to aid with the rot and also it's my room temp that gets to 30 not my water temp thanks
