Yes temp is always around 19° And the cuttings were taking off mothers that really didn't have much care just chucked under the lights and left to grow and these cuttings took around three weeks to get roots

Looks like slime imo but they are recovering already. If I was you , I would put some chlorine in rez to kill all that shit, circulate one time , dump rez, start a new rez with no organics additive. Once you have cleaned the system with chlorine , you could brew a bennie tea to make sure it doesnt come back. look for heiseinberg tea, cheap and simple and its really effective, just make sure not buying gh or Advanced bennies.

Be careful with chlorine. If you don't dose it precisely, your plants will be ruined (assuming they aren't already). You could try just the tea first and see how that goes. Both times I got to the chlorine/tea stage, I was weeks away from the eventual total collapse.

So you think it's recovering already it seems as if all the old roots brown ones are like dead and not growing and all the new white ones with the hairs coming off seem to be ok and thriving well. I am using pythoff every four days do you think I could just carrying on using this but maybe more regular and see if it clears up and brings them back to life . As I have no idea how to use chlorine or beanies thanks for the replies guys

try to find dutchmaster Zone. it's a ready to use chlorine based res additive. i used at 2mL per gallon. works very well. use with every res change or top off.

i prefer a sterile res vs.. bennies.

Yes I would favour going to the sterile res path rather than the bennies path simply because I have no idea on the bennies (no offence to others ) I just spoke to the supplier of the nutrients and they said it sounds like I have Cyanobacteria and told me to stop using the additives (Calmag, silicon, katana roots) and just use the a&b grow and to stop using the pythoff and use healthy root instead and change res every2-3 days does this sound good or not ????

what is in healthy root? got a link?

res changes every 3 days sounds way too much to me.

can you find that dutchmaster zone near you?

on the directions, there is a normal and max dosage. use the max dosage.

drain your system and try to clean it as best you can with hydrogen peroxide first. and hot water. take plants out first obviously.

then give them new water, nutes, and the Zone at max dose. give that a few days and it should clear up pretty quick.

one thing that also willl help is take a 5 gallon bucket with a max dose of Zone in the water. take each net pot and dunk the whole thing into the bucket. do this a few times too.

Ok I will now get some on order and give this ago so take plants out wash out the rdwc system including pump and air stones and pipes best I can with hot water and h202 then flush it all out with clean water then make up a bucket with just water and the zone and dunk the whole thing including the net pot in it a few times how long should I leave them in it ? Then make up fresh batch of water and nutes in the rdwc aswel as the max strength of zone and put plants back in there can I use this along side my nutrients I'm using? I am using shogun hydro grow a&b , shogun Calmag ,shogun silicon and shogun katana roots ?? Thanks

sounds perfect. clean that whole system out as best as you can. when you dunk the plants, i don't think you can over-do it. i tried to do it so that every nook and cranny got hit by some chlorine. i would start back with everything but hte the katana roots. start off at half of what you were before and they should start to perk up in a bit. then bump it back to what you were running EC/ppm wise
