Poll: Majority of Dems has favorable view of George W. Bush

"Mission accomplished" is a military homecoming tradition though, right? Didn't Obama ride the same wave?

Bush wanted to be seen as an everyman and he had terrible public speaking skills... not a good combo.

I hated Bush at the time but I've come to realize he loved this country and just made lots of mistakes in what was the best way to protect it (arguably due to Daddy whispering in his ear about Evil Saddam).

PLEASE tell me you made that up?
I don't recall Obama ever making the "mission accomplished" declaration about Afghanistan. Certainly not that he'd say "bring it"

Your post about the tty man-virgin's ability to attract and keep a mate reminded me of this incident:

Tell me that doesn't seem like something tty would do. LOL

I still hate Bush. He was a complete failure in every regard and caused enormous harm around the world. He had to know that Saddam didn't have the weapons when he claimed Iraq had them as part of his justification for a war that killed a million people. I'll never forgive.

His dad, by the way, chose not to invade because he foresaw the consequences and said so openly well before Jr invaded. We'll never know if he counselled his son on the decision to invade but we know that Bush 1 knew better when he had the keys to the kingdom.

He was a dumb ass no doubt, but the material he provided for the late night talk shows was pure gold. Jon Stewart had me laughing every week-night with his W material. In that respect, I miss the dum dum!

Come on man, you don't think Daddy Bush and his cabal were running the show?

I don't think Daddy Bush was. The record doesn't indicate he had much to do with running Shrub's government. He did voice criticism later about Cheny and Rummy's taking a free hand but also said his son didn't do enough to rein them in. I'm not that well read on this. If you have a link you want to share, I'll be glad to read it.

I don't admittedly and am basing it off memory...

I try to see the good in all people (unfortunately it means I get fucked sometimes) and maybe Trump being such a piece of shit combined with the aforementioned view makes me view W more favourably than before?

Because remember that Bush didn't try start a nuclear war...if Trump actually starts a nuclear war with North Korea the casualties in Afghan/Iraq could be overshadowed with one bomb.

Bush also didn't drop our most powerful conventional explosive on a country we're not even at war with anymore.

Love the personal smears, keep them coming- because every one of them proves that you can't debate me on substance or the actual issues.

From what I've read, Bush Sr was careful to stay clear of his son's administration. I only know what I read.

Trump makes me miss Shrub. But damn I hate both of them.

I just trashed your idiotic read on the article you posted. LOL

You don't debate, you make shit up.

Have you gotten your $17.31 back yet? LOL
You missed the whole point of the article, neolib.

I post more supporting evidence for my positions than you and the rest of your Buckwit ball washing crew put together.

With no Sarin. Keep dreaming, false flag boy.

I'm no fan of Assad, but at least try to get your facts straight.

America is doing SUCH a good job in the Middle East these days; between the war in Syria that we're on both sides of, supplying Israel with the means to keep suppressing Palestinians- even trying to outlaw the BDS Movement here in the States- and of course supplying the entire suite of military hardware to Saudi Arabia for their ongoing war crimes against Yemeni civilians, our hands are so ridiculously bloody and we've got fuck all to show for it.

So keep talking, Buckwit. Clearly you're a closet Chump supporter.

Umm

You post links to articles you can't understand and layer your own false impression of what the article said on top.

What you said:
Meanwhile, the Phillips curve, the foundation of neoliberal economic theory, has been brought into question, as it has failed to fit the facts. This curve attempted to show a correlation between rising wages and inflation and was thus used by theorists and the Federal Reserve to justify raising interest rates whenever wages climbed, is now being discredited.

What the article opens with:
The Rise and Fall of the Phillips Curve
Posted on October 27, 2017 by Ed Walker

The Phillips Curve says that there is an inverse relation between unemployment and inflation. Low unemployment is correlated with a rise in inflation.

At least admit when you get it wrong. We all make mistakes. In your case, it was your mother.

As long as we are speaking about your mistakes, do you still believe "I think that if everyone quit talking about race, part of the problem would be solved."? How can we solve any problems due to race in this country without talking about them?

I'd be happy if Jon Stewart had to look harder and dig deeper for idiotic statements by our leaders.

Yea, like when ALL the troops are home, but we still have troops over "there" now, STILL TO THIS FUCKING DAY DYING, OVER BUSH'S BULL SHIT!!!
Mission was never, or will ever be accomplished as long as the USA sticks it's big fat fucking nose into that big fat pile of shit, known as the ME. They just hate us, for a few very good reasons, get it?
Fuck GWB, and Trump, and all associated, with whom of which we will be able to trace back to as being the main reason for the fall of a great Empire, conveniently called the USA.
Bush 1 and 2 started it, now we have Trump, and take a guess on how that will turn out?
Oh yea! That's right! Jared Kushner is going to bring peace to the ME.
It's time for ANOTHER Jameson and blunt, to dull my feeble senses, because this political shit is driving me insane.
Peace out
