Something I heard: One persons method for removing fear from your life

giving away stuff someone would steal ( just about everything, dont need protection ).

dont have a boss or job ( no fear of losing income from boss or job)

dont have kids ( should be obvious )

dont have a spouse ( no fear of losing your lover )

grow your own organic food and have a source of water

It does sound rather severe. Monastic, even. I counterpropose that those who'd ignore this advice ... meaning they can now entertain ambition ... build the world that supports those called to a monastic way. I would say your advice is appropriate for some but not most. Jmo. cn

i added producing all your own organic food :D

and i left out the fact u should probably have a place to live and grow it.
The philosophy you propose sounds a lot like my avatar's:

In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway...

Fear serves us well when we need it. It saves us from danger. To remove it altogether would be like removing the term 'up' from 'up and down'. I think it is like a contrast at times, a sliding scale of fear-->wellbeing, and that the feeling of wellbeing would be undermined by the removal of fear.

what fear do you have?

fear of death?
fear of change?
fear of the unknown?

I am 40+ years old.. have been rich... been poor.. been happy... been unhappy.

I have learned from those who have gone thru their own fears.. be it 14million years ago.. or today..

have done the homework as to what fear really is..

fear is normal.. and will happen. those who have been in Church for 100 + years... all have the same fear.. are we doing what we should to help those future people who want and desire to keep hatred alive...... gone.

dont care who you are.. dont care what you are currently going thru..

we all want to be happy and to live in a world where random idiots dont go out and kill or harm others..

I have gained from this world what I feel "I" was suppose to..

I fear those along the uncertain path.. that dont get it..
