Purple Jems

Well guys i think that it is time to do an official grow journal. I have had a few grows in the past and have run into some issues. One being a disgruntled ex and the other was sudden death due to having to travel out of town for a death in the family.

Since then i have done massive amounts of research and development. I have upgraded from CFL's to MH/HPS in the amount of 250watt due to growing area. This is just the tip of the ice burgh. I have upgraded the airflow system of the grow area. I have a 6in 435 CFM inline fan, DIY cool tube (can be found here https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/308311-homemade-diy-show-off-your-14.html) One intake fan at 110 CFM, and 4 other small fans to circulate the air inside the box.

Temps are a steady 76.2 degrees at lights on and when night falls it drops no lower than 68-70. The humidity is between 38 and 45%.

So what will be growing you ask? I have started 2 of Mossy's Purple Jems and both have sprouted today after 4days. No paper towel or soaking methods, just simply plant and go. So today starts day one of the journey to the 9 week finish. I will have some pics later tonight to start it off right.

So i hope a few of you will follow along to see what happens!!

Well Guys as the header says we are in day 2 and we look good. Have them in 16oz party cups with 6oz clear cups as mini humidity domes to keep some moisture in there as they start. Right now they are under some indirect lighting due to there age. Once they have a good start on the first set i will move them under the MH. Right now the temps are still not over 76. Thermometer has a memory on it (great option), Area humidity is at 42% which i am good with.

Checked on them this morning and everything is still going good. I noticed that they have begun to push out the first set of leaves so i am excited to watch this grow.

take the mini humidity domes off of anything that has sprouted. You risk it damping off!

ahh its good to be back, and they will come off tonight, i usually leave em on for the first day or so as they are young and help with the indirect light.

just wanted to stop back in and say thanks to all you guys who have scribed. I have the domes off (thanks for the tip cazador) and they look great i may just snap ya a pic of day 3 in a little bit

anytime man. I don't like arrogance especially when they don't know what there talking about. I hate it when someone has grown a certain way or uses a certain product and then closes their mind. This is a hobby not a pissing match and some people cant grasp that. So my hats off to you dude for your effort, you did what you needed to do to keep her alive and thats all that matters in botany.

On a side not thanks for all the subs, ill keep everyone posted with info and stats about every week. But ill be here all the time to gain more knowledge as well as share my experiences. Thats the way that i learned so i like to spread the wealth.

*Edit* almost forgot, the yellow in PJ-2 is gone now!

Thanks man i appreciate it and indeed life can be hard but id rather see them in peace than suffer, cancer is the bitch......

PJ-2 I think was just a seedling stage. Didnt hang around long color came right in...

Sounds great man and welcome aboard. Hoping i too can learn from this grow my self. I want to start breeding more and what a better way than this

As a few of you have asked ill go ahead and give a quick update.

Both seedlings are doing great. The color in PJ-2 turned around as i stated before i think in was just a seedling thing. At the close of day 5 the second set of leaves are coming in good. Seems that PJ-1 is a little bit ahead, but thats ok they went under light rotation today. Ill change the plant position about every 5 days until sex then it will be every three.

so far so good
