I'm a newbie myself, so don't take my words at 100% truths but maybe this will help. Any time you subject your plant to any type of stress you're essentially setting it back from where it would be on it's normal life cycle. If you have caused you plant stress of some type by cropping, or training it, it takes the plant a little while to recover and resume growing as it's using energy healing itself as opposed to just using energy to grow.

I just looked at it and they do look like good healthy plants. No obvious signs in the leaves at least of water or nutrient problems. So it's either the stress slowing them down, or the roots don't have enough room due to the containers maybe being too small.

How long did you veg and how far was the light from your gurlz??

They look very nice by the way. You claim to know nothing so, you obviously have some natural talent....Do some reading and learning...it can only get better!

It may not be the pots, but the plants are more than capable of growing roots all the way to the sides and bottom of a 6 gallon. Some outdoor growers use 1000 gallon pots for single plants. Now obviously that's outside and extremely huge plants, but I'm just using that to demonstrate the ability for cannabis to amass huge root structures. There's a very nice video on root topping for yield
if you're interested. Either way, best of luck to you, beautiful plants even if they are short ladies. Stay high friend.

Oh and 30 days into flower...upward growth is pretty much done...most of the growth energy is going to bud production...not to worry.

Pretty long video to say that air-pots and the like are good for self pruning roots...but nice.

It is close but apparently not too close or it would be heat stressing and leaf bleaching the crap out of them...How are you cooling your HID?

I have 400w HID w/ Cool tube and 260cfm fan blowing over the bulb. I kept the light about 10" from my gurlz all the way until the last week of veg. Then I raised it up to about 24" and they stretched about 1/3 of their total height at that point. I have not measured them in aa while. But even the taller one is very close to being just 2 feet tall.

the 600w hps is cooled by 2 very good fans....my temp would be a average of 28c...hum is 45%...lights off its around 20c and hum is very high at 60%....

It all sounds good...IMHO the rh is a bit too high...but other then that all is well. The closer the light is to the plant the shorter the plant will be. Plants stretch because they are seeking more light. If the light is right there...no need to stretch to it. That is why flowering will cause a lot of stretching...in nature when the sunlight hours decrease the plant is still trying to get as much light as it can.

ok, well like I said before most of the upward growing of those plants is done so don't look for them to shoot up in a big way. At this point, if this were my grow, I would keep the light close to aid in bud development. But this is your grow so do what you feel is right...not what someone else does 'just because'...Know what I'm sayin'?
