Reasons to buy from an LP

The title read " Good reasons to buy from an LP"....I had to remove the "good".

Well folks...my son is going to start buying from an LP soon. He will retain his pink.
The reason is simple...we have to show the courts what the current costs of his medicine are, and what he will be paying for the rest of his life. We need receipts to submit to accomplish this. So here goes nothing...

Please don't hate....we don't really have a choice, too much $ at stake.

Anyone else have a "good" reason to buy from an LP?

Good on ya buddy. So if I get this right you are going to take the cost of his medicine as evidence to court to show the ass raping sorry violations of patients charter rights... Example life and liberty!!!!! I applaud you... We need to keep the battle up. Good luck Medcann

I'm no martyr...that's not the case.
This is to show costs that will be incurred for a civil lawsuit.

I'm all for sueing the gov. Do what you gotta do to get the win. It will make it easier for anyone else filing a statement of claim after you. Are your proceedings stayed like everyone else due to allard?

You said he will retain his pink, you you mean the old MMAR Pink?

I've heard once you register with a LP under the MMPR your MMAR license is Null and void.

that'll be fine until the INS issue starts..then it will blur the process as the DIN will make it so that it's covered....by SOME INS companies anyway.
That will screw the ones who do not have INS or coverage of course...then what you are doing will help.
I hope you can deal with this as soon as possible for your Sons sake.
We all have to do what we have to do in order to stay alive and healthy.

you can get receipts from CC's as well but you might be better off going the LP route. they might claim you bought from the "illegal" dispensary/CC so those amounts don't count.
I had receipts from BCCCS and sent them into CRA..they got rejected as the meds weren't bought from HC. that's how I found out you can get receipts or a statement of account
all the best and please keep us posted

Going with LP to remove all bullshit scenarios.

You are correct...what is now might not be in a year from now. It is going to be interesting to see if the lawyers pick up on this key issue.
Thanks gb, appreciated.

We are using a separate medical document, and not handing in the mmar pink...doctor and Lp are ok with this.
I don't mean to keep going on about this, but you might want to double check with HC. I'm 90% sure I read (either in the paperwork HC sent us all when the MMAR was repealed, or on their site) that,

if someone authorized to grow/posses under the old MMAR, registers with a LP under the MMPR, their old authorization is gone and you are now only able to access through the LP/MMPR system.

I guess there is no concern if you are one of the unfortunate MMAR members who isn't covered under the injuction. Actually if we win the case and all MMAR members are reinstated you might be SOL after registering with the LP. Just do yourself a favor and double check with the people who actually hold the power to give or take your licences away. The doctors wouldn't know that your MMAR will be void and the LP just wants your money so they'll say anything to get you to register.

Just my 2 cents, I would hate to see you get screwed over.

Health Canada demands that the LPs send in the mmar pinks if a patient submits it.
I have no plans on doing that.
An LP needs a patient to send in either a pink sheet or a new medical document.
As a patient you deal with the LP not HC.

Before taking the hit, wait for goldstars. I would grow in the meantime. The goldstar application is basically what your doing, its statement of claim for either a dollar amount or the right to produce.

I need receipts because we have to show the cost of the mmj now, and for future predictions for healthcare costs.
We are near the end of a lengthy lawsuit and are at the point of determining how much $ will be paid out.

I'm aware you deal directly with the LP, but as you said yourself the LP will send in the MMAR pink slip if that's what you choose to use to register. If you sign up with a new medical document that's essentially the same thing as turning over your pink slip. Just because you still have actual possession of your pink license does not mean it's still valid. There are a lot of people still holding their pink MMAR forms who cannot legally grow anymore.

I'm still covered and wanted to see for myself what the LPs were selling to patients, I wanted to register until I learned that I would be giving up my right to still grow and produce for myself.
