Yea I think its worth the 200 to but it cant hurt to save some money lol.

If your gonna spend that much you should look into the gun safe the guy was talking about for 250.

I don't want or need anything huge though... the dimensions are perfect.

Family heirlooms, jewelery, pictures and small amounts of money is all... no assault rifles or RPGs LOL!

Also I don't have to worry about loosing such priceless items if there is a fire, which makes me relax a little more..

I cant rep you either LOL!

but I know I dont need to keep just guns... but I want something small that most people wont notice you dig?

Dont need a giant ass cabinet in the corner of the room... as the obvious question is, 'whats in there?'

If you did a metal tube exhaust, with a series of half circles that alternate position.. that still allows air to pass, but no hands/tools to reach in (same idea as vending machine) then you could do it

You would need to be able to weld and modify a metal safe and shit though

Thats where my problem comes.
And I cant really think of a good excuse to have someone do that for me lol.

I'd throw a nice tapestry over it and a house plant on top of it make it look like an innocent end table. If at all possible as mentioned before bolt that bitch down.

Your better off getting a room, and making it as secure as possible.. put a steel door to it with like 3 dead bolts

if anyone asks, say 'kiddie porn dungeon'

Well..
What I would recommend for you to do is..
Ask your freind, if his freind, is a good freind, to your freind.
And if your freinds freind is trustworthy enough to even call him a freind of a freind,
Then thats a good start to getting to know more freinds through your freind.
LOL!

Why would it even matter if one was to pick up the item, pay, and drive away? You guys are overthinking this, he wouldn't know where the safe is going

Everyone should have an assault rifle, but really, you will fill it faster than you think, I am looking at buying another one...JR

Edit: Fire rating is good of you can afford it.

hah, 3 deadbolts.
If you know how to pick locks not even 1500 deadbolts would stop you.

One good quality deadbolt > 5 regular deadbolts hands down.

don't believe me, i'll show you.... hah ;)

a schlage primus is normally enough to stop most people, even seasoned lockpickers... good luck kicking it in... you'd need a battering ram... although they are pickable, you need to be extremely skilled. and pretty much any 6 pin deadbolt with 6 alternating security pins will fuck over most lockpickers hands down.

Most people that would rob grow rooms would rather kick the door in rather than learning the complicated task of lock picking...

like okay YOU could do it, but hypothetically if most of us were to dry to break in wed bring a sledge hammer and a crow bar.

even with a sledgehammer i doubt you'd break that lock, its rated ANSI grade 1, double reinforced, heavy duty commerical strike plate...

its a pretty intense lock
