Reptile lights, LED with UV

Hello

I was thinking of purchasing and using 2 of these
30" ReptiSun® LED UVB Terrarium Hood"
Would they work? For two plants....
I read from forums that uva and uvb increase THC...

Indoor - 48 X 24 X 70 grow tent

Any input would be nice, thanks !

UVB is suppose to increase potency by 3% to 5%. I've tested my GG#4 at a lab before and I just finished a GG#4 run with added UV. I'm sending in a sample to test the UV sample and compare the results,I'll be posting the results.
Curious myself as to the results as I have a Pure UV bulb and single bulb fixture en route to play with myself for my flowering tent.

Waiting on the lab to get back with me about picking up the sample, only have this sample for testing. With the road construction in my area it's about a 4 hour round trip so I'm trying to get it picked up.

I'm so curious whether it'll be any different. What bulbs you use and for how long a day and how long through out the life cycle?

When I ran UVB before it was 4 to 5 hrs in flower in the middle of the cycle with Reptisun bulbs but I never had it tested but everyone told me my flowers were noticeably stronger than other peoples with the same cut. This time around I ran power veg bulbs that were on the whole time the main lights were on. I did that because I got a mild case of PM and read that UV can help with PM. I didn't want to use any of the nasty cures so I used more organic treatment with UV and it worked,no more PM and I didn't have to cull a single plant.

VegasWinner,
That is true. Uva and uvb stress the plant, forcing the plant to create more trichomes "sun block" i guess stressing the plant by pinching it works too. But the reason I ask is because I'm deciding what type of lighting to purchase and well might as well buy a light that helps create more trichome on my plants.

Right on CaptainMorgan. I'll be looking forward for those results man. This whole UV thing was brought up by a buddy of mine and he recommended reptile lighting since they emit UVA/UVB

Would the lights I mention work ?reptisun 48" led terrarium hood

Here are the specs I got from their page

"Highly Polished Curved Reflector For Maximum Efficiency And Uvb Penetration, 6500K Daylight High Output Leds For Truly Naturalistic Lighting., Includes Reptisun 5.0 T5 High Out Lamp For Safe And Effective Uvb And Bright Light For Improved Color Rendering., 620 Nm Red Leds Stimulate Live Plant Growth., 465 Nm Blue Led Simulates Nighttime Lighting Lunar Effect., 20,000 Hour Life Range."

Would 1 or 2 of these reptisun 48" led terrarium hood be enough?

Cheers

Like anything too much can be bad. I would start with a single bulb at 18" for 1 hour and build it up to 4 or 5 hrs watching for signs of stress and if everything looks good add the second bulb and do the same. That may be more than you need in a 2x4 and only need one,I haven't tried the Pures yet.

My apologies I was only planning on one for that space. The second is a spare that might go into another 2x4 later.

Thanks for the advice. Does it matter if the UV light is perfectly centered like my COB's for coverage?
