Looks like Missouri street prices. At least its abundant.

On the SOCO list, are all those doing retail? I didn't know there were any retailers yet in pueblo west.

So, I'm a med patent and decided to drive around and check out the retail shops a bit.

I wanted to go buy an eight just for the hell of it but damn man, I'm not waiting in thos lines to overpay when I have a red card, lol.

I went to The Clinic and Medicine man, both packed. I went by Botanacare in desperation and they had 2-3x as many people as the other places, lol.

I feel SO BAD for all the peeps at Botanacare today, Their bud is such shit and their mmj prices are double that of TGS, I can only image with the rec prices are like. They "think" they are a top shelf dispensary bc they have "name brands" but its grown like shit and kept in mason jars ffs, what dispensary have you been to that uses metal storage containers? Cuz that's the only one I've seen, lol. (also they "carry" MTF which is a non existent strain so yea.)

Fucking joke. Greenerside and Marisoul are 65 bucks tax included for an eighth. Thats across the board to. Almost 500 smackers for a zip.

I was worried that the dispensaries would bring the price down. Haha not happening they are more expensive than indiana street prices. The bud was averahe at both places. 1hr 30min at the greener side for all bud to look the same. 2hr 15min at that marisol and there bud was no tricromey.

I went to the springs and got a zip of some head band for 180.00 street price. I wanted to pay taxes and support the cause but not for more than my mortgage. Lol.

The pueblo and pueblo west dispensaries better get their shit straight 90% of the people coming out where shit talking rhe prices and were empty handed. Not good for tax revenue. Ill keep buying on the street for half price.

They might be starting high to lower the prices later. I can't believe they are pushing the old street prices. It blows my mind. So glad I'm a grower.

Well the novelty for me has already worn off without making a purchase. The current greed has made the cost prohibitive even before the added taxes. Retail maybe a good thing for tourists but I already grow plenty myself and there is no value in buying at inflated prices. I think most residents will just continue to buy on the black market, grow their own or go through the hassle of getting a soon to be $15 med card.

I'm still stupefied that regular smokers that live here don't already have a red card.

It's no hastle at all. Pay $60 to see the doctor and now its $20 cheaper to pay for the card. I moved here and within a week I had my temp paperwork, within 30 days had the card.

Hmmmm That peaks my interest. However, Article is two years old and doesn't really reference any factual sources other than an ATF form. Which says, "an unlawful user of", Last I checked I'm not breaking any laws in Co.

Also, "There don't appear to be any cases in Colorado where people have been prosecuted for illegally owning guns because they are medical- marijuana patients."

Do you happen to have any up-to-date info on this?

There are efforts to overturn a 2011 ruling by the ATF that states MMJ patients cannot own firearms by a CO rep. As for the ATF form, it's a Federal form, not a state form, so you are violating federal law, because federally, it's still illegal. There are no federal agents going around swooping up MMJ patient's guns....yet. I know for a fact you cannot get a CCW permit if you are a red card holder in CO for example.

Here are the efforts to overturn this ATF ruling:

Marijuana PolicyPolis Files Federal Bill to Protect Gun Rights of Legal Marijuana Users. US Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO) last Thursday filed House Resolution 3483 to override a 2011 ruling by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms that medical marijuana patients cannot legally buy or own guns. The bill's summary says its purpose is "to amend title 18, United States Code, to provide exceptions from the firearm prohibitions otherwise applicable in relation to marijuana if its possession is lawful under State law."

You know I've been a member here for a few years now, and never really post much. I've been more into the agriculture side of it, just coasting, and always checking out peoples grows. But I have been sidelining this whole Legalization thing in Colorado. Recently becoming more of an activist now. I mean, I honestly thought this was gonna be a bigger thing. I think the extremely high sales tax, is going to take it in the wrong direction. Being a neighboring state, that I am in, I saw this as a huge marketing chance as well, not gonna lie. But hell, its not even worth the drive it seems, to be able to get it on the streets cheaper than you can legally there. I would have almost guaranteed it to drive the street and grow price down there. But wouldn't the high price, be a cause to drive those prices up? Not the direction I was looking for in this at all
