Yes you are saying that and did in a previous post in this thread. It just that slipped out in your effort to defend LP's. You have an agenda...as we all seem to here I will admit.
But you did say you knew of non medical people who have been sampling the wares. Well I don't figure they wouldn't. As if some doesn't go missing maybe...like for the boss to take home.
so be honest you said it and let the cat out of the Cough...bag right.
You can back track now if you like.
if you actually read the regs youll get all the answers there.
you will also see that the security, cameras, staff all have to keep and eye on each other and videos are recoreded and kept for 2+ yrs, proof of entry to flower rooms and tight vault access.
theft will be minor imo. then serious charges to the employee who does steal. most wont waist there time on it. they will get a lic and buy there meds, and in np time it will be legal anyway
some just hate change, itll grow on ya

For what it's worth, I have spoken to a few "non medical" users who have sampled product I would call crap and they've noted that it's as good or better than the average stuff they buy on the street.

If that's the case, I'd disregard their opinion on this subject from here on out.

@ rnr You talk like these guide lines? are carved in stone.
The garbage.
I don't know about you but the garbage is where the cash is to be made.
The person responsible for the garbage has his way with how he deals with it. After all. It is garbage.
The Pounds of bubble and press that could be made and sold with garbage. The cash is almost as good if not better in some ways than how much the bud produces. The simple fact is, NO ONE in their right mind would toss millions of easily earned dollars out the door.
It is all about the money after all.
Cash sales are KING! It's already being done ;) ....tweed broke the law and how funny ...no one cares.

How much ya wanna bet they get to , right it off, next years taxes. ;)

lmao.

fuck that has to be the biggest bunch of crap I've read on this site ever. Your saying the staff are gonna watch each other. Theses LP's are rife for all kinds of product missing. I wouldn't believe for a minute that more shit will happen than anyone will ever hear about.
What a laugh. That explanation isn't even worth the time it took to read it.

Really hard to confirm, but when they talk about approximately 400,000 patients by 2027 I assume it's based on the fact that they assume everyone who used it for medical before illicitly would want to do it legally.

See I don't like that answer at all. The powers that be did nothing but bitch about how the mmar, which is supposed to be the last option for people, grew exponentially from the 2001 to 2013. But during that time frame, there was nothing in it for the government. Someone woke up one fine sunny morning and bumped their fucking head so hard, that the idea that they could actually make money off this shit became front and center.....mould, fires, crime, diversion more bullshit than is really tolerable. Suddenly we have the mmpr and it's estimated to grow exponentially as far as I'm concerned....but it's ok because the government is now looking at a new revenue stream...how much gst has been collected on all those lights, and security systems, and safes, and beams, concrete......shipping your meds, the list goes on and on. Has the purpose of this program changed and did I really miss the boat on that?

Does anyone else also find it hilarious that the people that are predicting MMPR patients to rise to 400,000 are the EXACT SAME PEOPLE that are in charge of licensing these folk. In other words, Health Canada is saying "Oh, in the next 10 years we expect to be much less stringent and are ready to accept another 400,000 people into our program."

400,000 estimate is a little low I think. I estimate the number to be 600,000+.
I have looked at data available. My research shows we can expect 1.75% of Canadians will become mm patients (provided legalization has not happened).

Oh, I see what you're saying. There are people who get a prescription - that legally makes them patients. Whether or not their symptoms are real or not is different, but I'm not suggesting they just called up the LP and asked for free product samples. They all got prescriptions.

Hippy, you should read some SOPs and read the security documents.
The cameras don't just go to your coworkers. The process isn't just a recommendation. The security isn't just for show.
There will be mistakes, but everything is documented pretty damn well. You can't just take the VHS out of the security camera like they did back in your day - this footage is backed up to a security camera and to a vault for long enough that HC can retrieve it.

And do you know how much sercurity footage is never watch.......ALMOST ALL OF IT....IT'S SMOKE AND MIRRORS. Like anyone has the time to watch thousand of hours of recorded video.
Listen I was in the CCTV business and almost all of it is never seen....Don't buy the camera's lie.
Blah blah blah on how there gonna do this and that. Do you believe in fairies too?

Almost EVERY single business is susceptible to insider shannagins. I've seen it hundreds of time in the CCTV business. What I've seen employee's do is insane. Even when they know they are on recorded video....really. It would blow you away.

Hippy doesn't seem like the trusting type. Or the type that is open to new ideas.
I get it.. you have a system that works for you. It's not going to work for everyone. Even the DG system doesn't work for everyone.

Yes, it would have been nice if they just legalized Compassion groups, but they didn't and there's some fairly sound reasoning behind that decision in my opinion. I understand that you are very against the LP system, but assuming that everyone is going to steal product and that it's going to become recreationally available and that everyone is a crook is taking a bit far.

Hippy,
what if a L.P gave you free meds to prove they are all not bad and the good L.P will follow rules and do there best for the patients in mind?
you pay shipping?
and not crap milled gear, proper cured, killer buds....

Nice offer but please give it to a needy patient. There are plenty.
I'm ok with the LP system once people are allowed by the court to produce their own meds. It's simple really. Just fairness is all I ask. But if it ends up with LP's being the only choice, then I'm going to have a problem with that setup. And believe it or not there is more of us...than you.

That i can agree with, the extreme medical patients should be allowed personal grows or something like that. But for everyone else that doesn't need large amounts all day, the LP system with some good companies is nothing to complain about, better than buying off the street any day.

well I hope it works that you can grow a limited # of plants. don't think it will be a lot, like 6-10. then you will bitch that its not enough. they don't allow you to make pills and just cause you all got a chance before to grow don't mean it was right. I think if you are allowed to grow you need to be inspected, regulated and rules enforced.
nothing is free, and you don't make the rules, we are not a free society.

I may have misinterpreted this so please clarify. Are you saying that just because patients were allowed to grow before hand doesn't mean it was right?
