RIP. got this from google : "After several years of battling a rare condition, well-known grower/breeder Subcool has died. He suffered from Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency (AAT) and COPD."

Sadly, Subcool announced this would happen on a recent Weednerd episode. When he got raided, they froze his bank accounts, and took all of his cash. Due to that he could no longer pay his health insurance, which meant the oxygen infusions that kept him alive, would stop. He mentioned the infusions cost somewhere around $13,000 each and that he needed a few of them every month.

I got to know he well over the past 3 years he was very misunderstood lost of people disliked him. In reality he’s a great guy. Like him or hate him you can’t deny his contributions to the cannabis industry RIP subcool

Just heard about this. Never met the dude but watched countless hours of his videos. strange how you feel you can know someone you never actually met or communicated with. RIP sub, rough few years.
BTW, he had his med bills covered recently by a group called NORD (National org of rare diseases). It's in one of his last posted vids on youtube. Apparently it was a no holds barred coverage once they cleared him for coverage. Pretty impressive.

I always respected Subcool's dedication to quality in his garden. I don't see a lot of herb on these forums that I'd want to smoke but I'd smoke his product any day. RIP
