good looking buds
but i gotta to ask
are you dissapoited in yeild at all ?

i am looking at yeild right around 2 lbs off half the light and am a little dissapoited that i still will not get 1gpw

i have been stuck right around .75 gpw for some time and thought for sure going vert would break that but much to my dismay it will be about the same harvest as my last flat garden but i am running 200 extra watts. and about 2 times as hard to water and take care off.

sorry bout the rambling but just ? i have ask my self

yes I am disappointed with the yield for sure.. but since this is only my second run with this system, i cant expect to hit it out of the park.. This does leave plenty of room for improvement.

first of all if i would have done all hydro, that alone would have allowed me to yield about 20 percent more, because unfortunately i did not do a very good job with the girls in soil.

second of all, I had a hard time because I was running 3 different strains in the system.. the trainwreck were tall and lanky, and not made for this type of system. they choked out some of the other plants, and only had large tops, but not much bud all the way down.. using a more indica strain would have allowed me a lot more bud surface area.

third, the agent orange that i had, is a more sativaish indica. the buds are a lot more fluffy than the other pheno i only had 4 of (luckily i cloned em hehe) using the more dense strain will easily give me a better yield.

so by using all hydro, using one strain, and making sure that strain is a nice yielding heavy indica, i will easily increase the yield to 5lbs plus, and with further tweaking pushing the envelope even further..

so to answer your question in a shorter manner, yes i am dissappointed, but i learned a lot and see exactly what i need to do to fix it. :eyesmoke:

i guess disappointed is the wrong word.. i just know that i have not reached the systems full potential, or my own, and look forward to rolling a joint with a newspaper

hopefully you got some clones ready to take their places....

sounds like we'll both need a couple more crops to fine tune things.

peace my brother.

Damn dude, so over the last three days I've read this whole thread...

What an amazing system! Seems like a great grow, I learned a bunch just from reading the thread!

I look forward to seeing more...
