I just finished pollinating a Goji OG clone with another identical clone that had been sprayed with CS. Will the resulting S1 seeds act like F2s?

Yes. S1s are like if you crossed the plant with an identical sibling, so for every hybrid trait you'll see the offspring behave like F2s.

what do u mean act like f2s? if you selfed ur strain all the seeds should be female..... v.s. f2 is not the case...

I believe S1 means reversing a female to pollinate itself or a direct clone/clonemate. F2s require and F1 which requires 2 different genetic donors whether of the same strain or not. So IMHO the answer is NO there will be no F2.

if the cuts are from same donor mom then no, it will be an s1. if the cuts are from 2 different females then it would be like f2.

So lets say you have a plant with hybrid genes aA. When you cross it with another plant that is aA whether that plant is a clone or a sibling or an unrelated plant that happens to have that gene you will see offspring that are AA (25%) aA (50%) and aa (25%).

lol they don't require two different genetic donors... just a male and a female of the same strain

Your logic holds water but I would want an anecdotal testimony that someone who literally selfed/pollinated a female (1) back to herself (1 [same plant that pollen came from]) in the same grow cycle got F2 variance. This would prove your logic. Without the anecdote occurring 50% of the time it would punch a hole in it.

Those are different genetic donors, are they not? even two of the same pheno popped from a seed pack may not be identical genetically (genotype) even though the expression (phenotype) APPEARS to be (thus possibly not actually phenotype. although it appears so)

That's what I have gathered. Since they are two F1's (regardless if they are identical clones or not) crossing them should giving me the phenotype variation of F2's.

op said there two identical strains...... there s1's not f2s since the clones came off the same mother :p

I've watched grows of S1s of cuts I've grown. Gimme a year and I'll have grown out a crop of S1s.

op should have just kept a male and made proper f2 ibls.... would have ensured more males in the future, you run much much less risk of your seeds herming like a lot of s1's do, among other advantages....

Yes. I understand they are S1's. That's why I named the thread "S1 Seeds". The variation that the seeds, when grown out, should show the variation in phenotype you would typically see in F2's. They will not be clones in seed form.

yes they will be very alike if that what ur asking... they should be prerry uniform.... ur confusing the shit outta me for a sec... I have to smoke another bowl now :p
