Just days from going 12/12.

9 plants.

MEDIUM: Coco and Vermiculite, about a cup of real backyard compost in one to test.

FEED: FF Grow Big mixed per directiions.

LIGHT: 1 - 1Kw HPS, 4 T8 floros, two incandescent grow bulbs.

germ'd in paper 06/14/13. , transplanted to plastic cups, then 1 gal pots, Fimmed at 4 weeks, now in final 3 gal pots.

water and feed alternating every two to three days, sprayed and stressed the plants like a madman.

fans going every other day on full.

Dis is how they look!:mrgreen:

20130815_083303.jpg20130815_083315.jpg20130815_083400.jpg20130815_083417.jpg20130815_083426.jpg20130815_083438.jpg20130815_083500.jpg

Will flush all the pots with water and then when they go to 12/12 switch to pH balance H20 with FF BIG BLOOM..

I think I have 3 males in the bunch. Will nab those buggers before they screw with my girlies.

Lastly, at every pruning I've taken, dried and rolled, and sparked and I tell you what... The leaves ARE good! not as "boot-to-the-head" as bud, but I ain't buyin off nobody for sure! :eyesmoke:

Comments? Suggestions? rude remarks?

Looks good, seems you are going to have some monsters on your hands. I started mine on 6/20, flipped on 7/20 and she is about 30" from the top of the soil with topping, LST and super cropping. How much head room you have in your space?

IMHO there's no reason to spray your plants, I have never done this, to me it's not necessary and could great problems, also your fans should be on 24/7, plants need constant air flow.

Oh yeah! almost forgot about the super cropping! I DID in fact do this throughout the 2nd month hbbum... should I keep doing it throughout the Veg? gotta google that LST. don't know what it is! LOL! I'm growing in a very open indoor space with over 12 feet of Headroom above the lights... so they should have plenty of room.

DeeTee... I've been spraying because I read in an OLD grow book that the plants respond well to foliar feeding. I figured spraying stresses the plants a little like them getting rained on. So far beautiful leaves, and strong stems. What kinds of problem could arise? Mold? light burn? bacteria? Mites? I've really been beating these plants up too. bending tops, pinching off leaves, basically plant terrorism. any sense to that? Thanks for Your comments guys! much appreciated. :)

You can supercrop through veg, will help keep them lower, not that that seems to be a concern.

I'd have to say mold and light burn is the most problems that could arise from spraying, during veg I supose you could get away with it but not during flowering, that could cause bud rot, I don't believe many of us find it neccesarry to sray our plants, at least that's my opinion.

you can harvest the pollen and save it to grow seeds, just dont get the pollen in with your flowering females and scrub like hell to make sure none ends up in your clothes.

On June 14[SUP]th[/SUP] I began the germination Process. Placed 12 regular Cannabis genetics and one Blue Dream genetics seed in the cabinet above the stove. This begins Week 1.
seeds.jpg

On June 18[SUP]th[/SUP], most of the seeds had sprouted. The Blue Dream failed to sprout and one of the regs also failed.
windowsill.jpg
June 20
[SUP]th[/SUP] , Placed the remaining sprouts into Miracle Grow Seed starting mix. In plastic cups with holes knocked out of the bottom. And watered in. Placed them in the windowsill for natural sunlight until June 25[SUP]th[/SUP] when they went under T5 soft – flourescent tubes. This Begins Week 2.
20130713_112538.jpg
July6[SUP]th[/SUP],fertilized with ½ strength mixture of Fox Farms Grow Big, This isthe start of week 3. The pictures below were taken about 1 weeklater. You may notice that one of the plants is missing. That'sbecause it died. ACtually I killed it inadvertently...fml..

July 13
[SUP]th[/SUP], Transplantation! Seems Like it's a week early and it is! The root systems exploded in each of the plants. The roots began crawling up the insides of the cups and what looked to be algae began forming thereon... the plants were watered sparingly to stress the root system and stimulate bigger growth. It WORKED! :) So that's why they were transplanted a week early. The Fox farm ½ strength fert and the sparse watering WORKED REALLY well. This Begins week 4.

Never done any breeding, I only grow 1 plant at a time so not really convenient or needed really since even then I can make more than enough for myself.

more then having sex.

LST is low stress training or tie down/scrog
Super cropping, high stress. Snap em over and see who wins.
Topping. Sets the plant back a week but will keep it short and bushy.
Fim. Finger nail clippers on the newest newest teeniest tinyest leaves on the tops.

Pour water into the pots til it runs out the bottom, feed, and let it trickle.

I'm gonna keep spraying through this grow, flowering and everything. It does rain on flowering plants.... if it fucks up, Heck it's just my sophomore grow.
I'm planning this next one so I can have more time to fuck off. bongsmilie

Gonna have pipes 'n' shit...

I thought I was pretty good at pruning, and actually thought I had a clue as to what topping was til I saw those folks with those LST SCROGS...
The canopies are tremendous! and so efficient...
Man I wanna do that next grow...who's the youtube guru?

Now I'm looking for the reals. OG Jupiter, and OG Sour Diesel. and LOTS of it!:bigjoint:

can't germinate 'em fast enough.

point me.

You have probably noted this but i just didnt see it, are you using standard fluorescent lights to veg? Have you looked into t5's? t5's have a much higher light output than the standard t8 or t12 lights.

nice grow btw.

So the title of this journal implies I know a little about growing... through this process and on this site, I can safely say I knew VERY little (LOL!) when I started this grow... Mainlinging, Scrogs, correct pruning... all were not even on my radar until RIU.. I fucking LOVE this place.

The pics below are week 3 of flowering.. looks like a total mess! lots of poor branching, poor distribution, no canopy whatsoever... It's just Wild, wild, wild.... I'll probably not even get a good yield. But hell, I learned SO MUCH through this that I'm totally STOKED to begin the next grow... Which I will of course, post here.

20130902_093037.jpg20130902_093100.jpg20130902_093049.jpg20130902_093110.jpg
20130902_093143.jpg20130902_093154.jpg20130902_093206.jpg20130902_094437.jpg
20130902_094445.jpg20130902_094454.jpg20130902_094511.jpg20130902_094518.jpg

I mean really..... look at that.... no underlying structure... no control of the branching off the main stem, no canopy, just wild.
I feel SO dumb. :P

So these are the floros I'm using....
20130902_094020.jpg

there's also a big 1000w HPS and two side mounted Blue spectrum grow bulb. everythings on 12/12.

Hopefully I'll get enough so I can NOT buy for a month or two.

:)
