luvin the turbine idea for us trapped on this rock . . solar panels just dont seem as viable as they do to the tropical growers . . .
actually started playin with ideas for a multipass water wheel/s inside a drainpipe or such . . . but i preffer choppin stuff up.
shit seems i missed a page so im going back , be checkin back to see how you get on tho dude.

Hey chazel, solar power in the uk is fine thanks to gloabal warming, if you had a couple of these turbines + solar power and a big battery bank, you could use the solar power mainly during summer and the lot during winter, im seriously looking into this & will be watching this thread closely

was watchin that - its not easy being green < haha they dont even know how close they are to the truth - but that dude blasted 15 grand getting panels fitted and the gov gave him 2 and a half towards it.
also says goverment are paying double what they did last year for surpluss energy , i think if u were to have wind , solar and water , especially here in rule britinia , ud have no worries

reuk.co.uk has all the info for wind, water and solar on how to make and build your own just have a look its crazy what u can do with pennys and junk..

One time about 2 summers ago the weather looked dodgy but dry so we had a bbq, then the sky went real dark and this hard rain & hail came out of nowere, the wind picked up and this huge gust of wind came out of nowere and blew everything in my garden into the house (full platic patio tabe and chairs) smashed into pieces against the house wall, never seen anything like it before, thats what my therory is freak gust of wind b idk lol

well its possible cos they are big blades on them things "wish mine wer that big lol" maybe one day
i am going to try my best to get it mounted tomorrow

traffic cones and such just are'nt exciting enough for em anymore - where theres a will there's a way , took so long tho to only damage 2 blade and break 1 they lost interest . .. and headed off in the direction of the nearest garage for ginsters late night treats

This thread is awesome. I love all the green ideas/etc here at RIU. The only thing I don't understand is why the world charges so much for going green when it's something we NEED to do. I realize it takes time thinking the ideas, and that costs money.. but I feel it should be a bit CHEAPER to go green, to make the world care even MORE. At least then if they didn't care about going green..and only wanted to save some money.. they'd be FORCED to help the earth! ha! just my 2 cents.
