a little side project: Royal Queen Seeds: Blue Mystic. About 2 weeks old in a waterfarm. She is destined for 250w CMH in a 2x2x5 tent for a little side project as soon as my males get done making some sperm lol. Anything over 5oz will be a success. I am currently flowering 2 males, a blackwater and a ogiesel to collect pollen from, just started 12/12 yesterday.

Great bud pics! Did you grow all those strains already?

Loving the Blue mystic in a water farm! "Side project" lol. How long is she vegging for?

I'm switching to one of those once I find out what strain I'm keeping around for good, quick question though. Say I wanted to veg for like 4 weeks? I would have to take the clone in flowering I'm thinking around week 2 of flowering if I"m doing an 8 week strain. So 2 weeks to root in say a rockwool cube. Then what could I veg them in without using the big water farm bucket until fowering and switching over? I hope that made sense lol, thanks for the help! As you know I usually grow in soil so this is new to me :)

Yep, same strains last round. But temps screwed me up pretty bad so I'm back for revenge lol

Probably another 4 weeks from now. I think the males should be done and she should be ready by then, we'll see!

U could, but lots of rockwool in a waterfarm would be bad. I'd recommend rooting in a small cube and then vegging it in the farm for best results!
o and I would try to avoid cloning in flowering bc they take longer to root and reveg. just take them right before flower and veg 6 weeks. Cut 6" off the top if you have too lol atleast the roots will be ready to explode at flower then haha

Thats true, thanks for the tips! I planned on using the small rockwool and placing in hydroton I figured the clones in flowering would Slow down the veg time lol. There really isn't anyway I can veg in a waterfarm so I'll probably stick with soil until I get a little more room to work with!

Whats your favorite out of the nugs?

How did the PPP yield?

Sour kush because it's diesely... I still love the classic PE of course but shes a bit old.

As for the PPP, hard to say, about 4 oz prob because they were burned pretty severely by the cold temps. I'll let you know at the end of this grow which should have that problem fixed.

Sounds good, one more question lol. How low did the temps get??

3xPineapple Express, 3x Vanilla Kush, 3x Sour Kush 2 (indica pheno), 1x Sour Kush 1 (sativa Pheno), 3xNorthern Lights x Skunk, 1x Blackwater

About a week since I took em, I have a feeling some are rooted already, but I always give them a solid 2 weeks to root up the cubes a lil more. Opening the vents a little more each day to harden them off over the next week. Gonna pot these in 3 gals I think, up from the 2 gal. What I haven't decided is if I'm gonna go with smart pots (which get so many roots in, I don't bother cleaning pita) or these 12.5L Air-pots which I can take apart and easily clean each round. They cost a little more upfront but at this point I'm spending 500/yr on smart pots which is a lil silly when I could get something that will last forever. Opinions? Anyone used em before? looked legit at the store but never seen a plant growing in one.

I'm ordering a set of 2 gallon airpots really soon! I was actually doing some research on them last night! I would go with those for sure, things are legit it seems. So your planning on running the air pots on a flood and drain table?

Heres a good thread, hes comparing standard pots vs air pots! Hes in soil but I figured it was worth a peak!

Did I already say "wow" and "subbed" and stuff?

If not, wow, subbed, stuff, rep.

Looking like a killer setup, guy. I'll def be bothering you with some questions.

Just a pic update. Things are filling in nicely. I'm just letting them come through at this point, should finish with 18" colas, we'll see lol

Looking awesome, guy. Couple questions as I'm about to get going with my first flood/drain setup. How are you liking your 50/50 hydroton/rockwool cube mix? What's the reasoning for going with that particular mix of media? How often do you like to flood and for how long? Thanks in advance!

Gordon claims that the RW creates more feeder roots than hydroton due to their ability to penetrate that medium. It also helps the smart pots hold a little more water as they dry out pretty fast with pure hydroton. I was doing 4 floods, 15min ea, per 12 hour lights on, but this round I'm experimenting and upped to to 6 with no differences noted. In f&d it is best to flood as much as possible without over watering to help keep the root zone EC/Ph as stable as possible. As the pots dry the EC climbs and in my case so does Ph, more floods help keep the medium the same specs as your rez, which is obviously what your going for.

subbed.....
Glad to have ya hf!

Not much to report tonight, changed the rez's to week 2 solution, 1.9EC total (1.5 feed). Plants are filling the screen even more. Now I hold my breath for the next week and pray they don't stretch too much lol only have so much vertical space and I don't want them falling over either.

In case your wonder what is what, this should help.

Yep I went about 14 days training into flower or a few more and my buds where a little shorter than I would like. "Pretty much grew into the screen." I'm going to replicate your technique this time and only train up to 7 days as long as I can keep the canopy even I'm happy!

BTW I'm really glad you put that pic up because that Pe section is exactly how I was thinking of running my screen when I get everything dialed in. So just like in the picture do you try to center the last Pe to the right to fill out the screen more? I was just wondering how I'm going to fill out the screen exactly with them being spread out like that. Does that make sense?? lol. I'll be doing 4 2 gallons under a 20"x40" screen So it will be slightly more cramped then your 2x4 section of PE..

Yeah the PE is great in a screen. I intentionally left that one corner empty to ensure buds didn't grow up into my wall fan. The plants pretty much spread out over there anyhow, but hopefully they won't grow up into it.

Sweet so have you decided what to pollinate yet? You gonna hit them around week 3 or are you not breeding now?
