Okay so i dont have alot of room to set up a full closet indoor grow or whatever and im looking to grow a couple plants inside this winter. I normally just grow outdoors but i have experience growing indoors aswell. Like i said i dont have alot of space so i was looking at the aero garden to grow one auto plant at a time. Its on sale where i live right now for a alright price and i was wondering if its worth buying for me. Im not looking to spend alot on this grow, thats the main reason im looking at the aero garden cause it pretty well comes with everything. I already have a air pump, stone, timer, PH tester and thermometer.

Its the aerogarden space saver with the 6 spaces

Some questions:

1: Is it really necessary to buy different lights for it (the ppl on youtube dont seem to have different lights)

2: Anything im missing that i need?

3: Is this worth it for me?

Please share any experiences you have to help me decide if the aero garden is right for me :) Thanks all and happy growing:leaf: (p.s check on my current grow under my signature)

Ive seen AWSOME results with AG.
Alot of ppl on here will tell you "its not worth it" or "for cheaper you can build a better unit" but the AG is VERY USER FRIENDLY.
I just harvested using an AG3 (the small 3 pod model that only raises 1ft) I added extra light and a bigger airstone, used better nutes. It wasnt the biggest harvest but it produced.
I have just upgraded to the AG EXTRA and started that yesterday.
I do recommend adding extra light for flower.

u should definetly get it. if its in your price range and like u said u wanted a small grow not alot of money involved, then u need this love beast.
as far as lights u can go same light. u can have 2 bulbs, 1 for flower and one for veg.
as far as one plant goes. thats good for now, but u need to fill that suck up with a few of those original og and fire og cuts going around nothern california right now. best meds out. hands down.
good luck. have fun.

Kaitlyn: a lot of us started with the Aerogarden and learned a lot about hydro. It's a great compact, complete, table top active hydroponic growing system but I'm afraid you didn't do your homework first and if you're planning on using the 'Space Saver 6' model because if you do you're doing it the hard way. The six is a bubbler DWC and it's prone to problems. Here's why:
1. The 6 hole model only has two lamps, not three like the seven holes model. With only two plants and only two lamps they're lacking light.
2. With the A/G you don't change the lamps because they only offer one lamp choice and they're proprietary, nobody else's fits . They force flowering by changing the photo period.
3. The A/G-6 has a smaller reservoir than the seven holes model which only holds 112 ounces. The smaller the reservoir the more critical the water problems, and the 6 has no pump to circulate the nutes.
Overall, if you haven't bought it, I wouldn't. Buy a seven holes model with a tall arm/light stand and the hood that accommodates three of the high intensity CFL's. In the seven holes model you can grow two plants as long as they're from a small indoor strain.
Read everything they send you with your unit and what they have on line. I'd stay away from the 6 holes model. Last I heard they weren't supporting it anymore and that's why they're so cheap. They're just a bigger version of the A/G-3. I still have three of the seven holes 'Classic' A/Gs and I love them. I up graded them with the bigger hoods and taller arm/light stands and longer cords. They're a lot of fun and a great way to get into hydro. I hope that helps. HSA
