Better to set goals lower or more realistic and over achieve.
Certainly makes growing more n more each time easier.
I would be surprised if you don't get 8ozs from those.

Their structure, the way they're looking(really nice and healthy by the way, awesome job!), when you finally do flip them, I think they will yield nicely man, even on the shorter side, this can make for direct easy flow to bud sites and grow really chunky as well as being able to get the light down in there through entire plant, super chunky buds is my premonition here. I was gonna ask you if you did a thorough search for males yet, but I read that you did above. Tip that just came to mind for you, (I know you read this in zoic's thread) when you do flip, that 1st night, give them at least something like 18-24hrs dark, or even longer like we spoke about over there for fast flower trigger response, and that first week give them some high K boost somehow, not necessarily needing high P boost at that time. ;)

--edit-- a rambrigde type BudBlood product for intial fast response flowering really does work. It's the high K and type of K in those products they help get things going quick at flip, and the type of pH buffering action they provide. is my experience anyway, before I went organic freak.

So PeakSeedsBC.com 100% germination rate and so far 50% female no males as of yet. I guess I should be pretty happy with these seeds and I am! I had my doubts about them a couple days ago but I would have to say Mike J. is the real deal as far as breeders go. Even if the rest go male, and I doubt they will I am happy with the five females I have gotten from these seeds.

I really like the fact that shortly after seeing the alternating nodes I have preflowers. I think it's always better to sex them prior to flowering and these seeds/plants are doing just that.

I think an 8oz harvest from these will be easy now with 5 females.

Lol, I do read a lot of grow journals and was wondering about the dark cycle prior to 12/12. I will am planning on shutting down and changing my light at noon on the 31st and then my HPS will come on August 01 at 6am. I don't have any issues with heat so I like to keep the daylight cycle going when I have the most time to work with them.

As for the food, I am trying to follow the Remo Nutrients schedule as closely as I can so I have a baseline for future grows. After that I will definitely adjust my routine.

ahhh yes, the Remo system, got you, yes this is best to get true results and not add things. right right I hear you. Well done.

Shit I didn't think I would be worried about not getting any males but I now have 7 females and no confirmed males. There are still 3 plants left to show their sex. I am hoping to have a good strong male to pollinate a branch on each of the females as I will not be taking clones from this grow but I want the option to grow this strain again if it turns out good. However my nicest bushiest and tallest plant hasn't shown sex yet and I am kind of hoping that it will be a male as the other two plants look kinda weak.

Ahhh the indecisiveness of me and this first grow. I had planned on putting the plants into a dark cycle today for 18 hrs prior to putting the girls into the flowering stage but they are starting to get some pretty nice vertical growth everyday and I still have a shit load of vertical room in the tent so why not let them go a bit longer. It shouldn't be much longer now before I flip my plants but it won't be today. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not. Who the hell knows, certainly not me! Lol.

Day 1 Flower

I decided this morning that I am getting too damn bitchy and need the pain to be relieved so I flipped the 7 ladies and 3 unknowns to 12/12.

I didn't do the dark cycle prior to flipping them over because I think a little stretch will help these plants out since they are too bushy right now. It could be a mold issue later if I don't allow them to stretch.

I also cleaned my hood and put in a brand new 1000w HPS grow bulb.

She's gonna be tight...lol

Yeah, it is tight now but I have a pretty strong feeling the three plants that haven't shown their sex are going to be males. So that should free up some room....hopefully.

Edit: I can also change out the fan as it takes up quite a bit of space too.
That makes sense, I'd pack em in too if they're un-sexed.

I asked a couple growers that have run KushBerry before if they had much stretch and the answer was that it had very little compared to most other strains.

I measure my plants and they grew 2.5-3" on the first day of 12/12! I might have a little bit of fun controlling these girls!

I love growing!

Day 3 Flower

I had to remove some of the inner leaves yesterday because humidity was super high and the leaves were staying wet even with the light on. It was also nice to let some light through the canopy to the lower and inner branches. I am still waiting to see what the last three plants are as far as sex goes. Hoping at least a couple are male so I can make some seeds.

Day 6 Flowering

Well things are going well in my room. However sexing has stalled and the three that I suspect are males are not doing anything to help me with confirming their sex. But that's ok because even if they are males, I want to keep them healthy and growing in the tent as long as possible without actually pollinating the females.

Right now my plants are about 14" tall and even though they did stretch pretty good on day 1, they have definetly slowed down. The plants have grown about 5" in 5 days. If they keep up with the inch/day average, they should be pushing 2' in height by the time the are fully into budding. But that's just speculation and hopefull thinking.

Cutting the light back to only 10/14 would have helped you sex them a lil quicker but they sure look happy and healthy for a first run after a long hiatus sir.

Well thank you for the kind words.

I think they are definitely happy . This is a new style of growing for me. I never did anything like the hempy buckets before and it seems to be working out pretty well.

I just wish that the Veg on this strain was a little more aggressive. My tent and 1000w system could have easily handled 3' tall plants. But that will give me something to shoot for on my next grow when I crack my Sweet Skunk x C99 seeds.

I'm also thinking of revegging one of my current females from this grow once it is done to have a mother available for future grows as my plan is to have an indica tent and a sativa tent one day. It would be nice to eventually have about four strains (two strains/tent) going for some variety.

Hitting them with really high intensity light can keep them short while vegging in my experience.

Well I am 99.9% sure that I have three male plants. I think I will cull two of them and keep the big one to get some pollen. I would keep them all but I'm not sure where to put them. The wife won't allow them in the house and I don't really want them in the garage with the females either. I wonder if they would be ok outside for a week or two until I can harvest the pollen?
