yes 6500k CFL for veg is awesome, just get the 20$ 150w HPS for flowering .. much better than cfl

ya it may be better i also am limited by 24 inches in Celing clearence that and i hear they perduce lots of heat so i think i may just get another cfl or so

yer if u only have that space just stik with the cfls otherwise our going to come across more problems if you get hps.good luck

I have 3 175 metal halide's. i dont know how to use them. all i have is the three bulbs.ihave never tried them in a regular socket to see if they will work. hell u could say i'm straight fuckin baked and in duh syndrome about the lights.

it would cost too much to get ballasts to run those MH bulbs
honestly i have a 400 MH and i like my 10 25w 6500k CFLs better

how big of a diffrence would thier be in 4 cfls vs 1 lol im only using 1 atm but ima get 3 more i only got 1 kid at the moment

yea 4 would be better ... but 1 will keep it alive/growing somewhat ,...

ya mine is on day 3 and already the first set of fan leaves are nice and big but i see another nub coming in is that another set of leaves or is that it gettin taller for the next set

yes i dont raise mine until there touching im in the 9th week of vegg and i raise about every 2 days

so if you are using 10.... 25 watt cfl then 5..... 50 watt cfl is same as. is there a reason you prefer 10 bulbs versus 5 bulbs? i have one of those 225 led lights off e-bay for 35.00 or so and it has proven to be great for germination and getting stems tall enough for setting lower in net pot.

i like using the 10 25 watts cuz they were easy to get, cheap , and i made 2 seperate hoods with 5 bulbs in each .... and they spread the light out perfectly

i just picked up a second 2700k 24 watt er now i have two rdy for flowerin do u guys think it will make that big of a diffrence from 1 to 2 thier both 1500 lumens making it 3k lumens im doing a small 16 oz cup gro

so i was thinking 2 splitter per reflector...... i got that in the plans....how did you fit five under one hood? i got to see this. (pics of light set-up?)
