So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

yea you can clone buds. i got a pile of boss hog cuts in the cloner now from day of harvest. i only expect a few to make it and its gonna take a few weeks but the highest yielding plants I've had was a clone that came from a plant that was already in flower. its how i save winning seeds, i dont clone anything until i know its a winner in flower.
That makes sense.
My son and i are always fighting over this grow thing, ive tried to get him on this thread but so far no.

when taking clones from a plant thats already in flower expect a little longer rooting time but thats about it. once it roots all the bud sites will explode into REveg and shoot branches all over the place. its cool

Hello all. I'm new to the thread nice to meet everyone.
Ok guys, this is my oldest, hes mid 20's so hes much smarter than me.
Maybe you guys can explain it to him, then he can baby talk it down to me.:bigjoint:
Nah hes a good kid, and a believer in the soil , just wanted to introduce him.

i would just like to update my earlier discussion about cloning buds.

I've always done it in a water type cloner. aero cloner or whatever.

the most recent batch went into humidity domes with root riot cubes........... any one see the problem coming.......

GREY MOLD EVERYWHERE!!!!

buds dont like to be left in the humidity dome I've found out...

I've recently bought an Ez cloner so this should solve that issue i just figured id put that out there!

low tech is nice but not always. they wld have had a better chance in cubes uncovered. your aero cloner method prolly is the best to root your late-flowering starter clone material. didn't I just repeat everything you said? haa

cubes uncovered takes so much care this time of year... i tried leaving em uncovered now after tossing the bad ones and douching the not so bad ones with H2o2 and a microbe tea mix. i let the h2o2 sit for a while before i gave em a misting of tea.. so far a couple look good still but i have found them pretty close to dry a couple times after only 3 hours! that sucks!

Ok, can anyone explain the sand dixie cup method?
I do awesome with peat plugs but i cant find them and we have a bunch of cloning to do.

Let your cuttings sit in water w cloning solution of your choice for 24-36 hrs. Then fill your dixie w sand, stick yer cutting right in and add water. R/0 is best but tap will work. Then just make sure your sand doesn't dry out. Sounds too ez bc it is

ive noticed every location i grow at is a little different for cloning. my first house i couldn't get one to root to save my life in an ez cloner and sold that bitch for 100 bucks. jiffy plugs worked there.

next house the jiffy plugs started failing miserably..... bought an aero cloner (cheap amazon nock off) and i started getting 100%

ended tossing out the shitty knock off aero cloner when i moved it was getting super dirty and when i first moved here i had a batch of 12 clones go 12/12 in a humidity dome then the issues started happening. second and third batch went 80% death. maybe worse.... once again I'm back at 100% in the aero cloner i just bought.... idk if maybe its just me? and i change my needs as a grower as i move or if its environment or maybe the pace of life at the moment so different methods work?? idk?? I've just noticed that everywhere i go i need to clone a bit diff..

i know an older ladie that clones in a clear tote with the top on... only takes it off to mist them once a day or rewet the cubes.... i tried this and had the mushiest gross cuttings ever lol. no clue how she does it, I've even had her come take cuttings for me in dire times to save strains or to keep me rolling along. she's 100% no doubt.

I've always wanted to try the sand method, I'm gonna get a couple going tomorrow i think, some of those boss hogs aren't doing so hot and could probably do with a re cut / clone
